The mystery of Eddie Benitez began in 1976 when his first LP "NightLife" was released and went gold, He was 14 at the time. His first concert was at the Madison Square Garden in front of 20,000 fans of Latin/Jazz along with Tito Puente and the legendary Fania Allstars. 6 months later Eddie had completed his 2nd LP "Essence of Life". Eddie Performed in most major venues in the world, Performing with such greats Tito Puente, Mongo Santamaria, Barry White, etc. In 1986 Eddie came down with Cancer and this would change his life forever. Eddie Beat Cancer and took a few years off to reflect on life and spirituallity. Eddie worked writing music for others in the Music and Movie industry as well as some studio work.. Eddie has had many Spiritual Visions in his life. His music now is a blend of Smooth Jazz, NewAge and Latin. He writes his music from his heart thats filled with love, passion and devotion, Hearing Melodies that come from within. Many who have seen him perform claim to see Angels on Stage and even miracles occur to some who embrace his music spiritually. Eddie is not Religious but very Spiritual. In 2004 Eddie went into a coma that to this day Doctors cannot explain. One of Eddie's spiritual Hauntings has been Documented and has been recreated for the Discovery channel series "A Haunting" to be shown on October 26, 2007. In 1993 Eddie was the subject of an investigation by MUFON and other Goverment agencies regarding massive healings of very sick people in his in Florida home. Eddie Writes " There is no healer but faith in God, Christ and in yourself" . 2007 Eddie will release his highly anticipated CD " Lovers never say Good-bye", This CD is for those who loved and lost and those who found that ultimate love that we all desire and dream about. The Passion, Love and Sensuality in his music is sure to embrace everyone. George Benson also has written the liner notes.
