Magic circles?
Hello everyone,
I hope this is the right section of the forums for my question.
Many years ago a friend of mine bought some tiny books about magic circles. Depending on what you wanted, you had to draw a specific circle with all kind of symbols.
Back then I needed money, and I was willing to try anything. To my surprise, it worked. Two days later I found some money on the ground.
Does anyone know what kind of circles I'm talking about? I need some help to find them! Sadly, my friend doesn't have the books anymore, nor does he remember how they were called.

Do any of these look or sound familiar?
[From your description it could be any or none of the above.]

This kinda rings a bell, was it a book of "Gypsy magic"? It had little mandalas for different purposes, and I recall them being vaguely circular, lol... Struggling to identify the book, if it is this one..

Thank you very much for your reply!
The last 2 types of circle look familiar (the pentacles and the seals).

Re: Magic circles?
Personalky, I find circles to be an excellent source of energy. They also allow us to have a material manifestation to focus on.
Some words of warning though:
When using premade circles from people you don't personally know, I would suggest looking up the various glyphs and symbols, as well as how they mingle together. I don't want to cause fear, but in this day and age, you never know.
That being said, I view circles to be a needed visualization tool for a lot of people. I know that's not totally correct, as some symbols and images have some very real power behind them. I'm just stating how I personally view them. Of course, everyone is an individual, and I personally am able to accomplish the few random things by pure focus... when I can achieve that focus. My energies are pretty chaotic most of the time.
I really hope you find what you're looking for and share your results. This is definitely a topic I'm interested in knowing more about. (Kind of hypocritical with what I stated, but as I said, there really are some very powerful circles)
Best wishes,
Zeon

Re: Magic circles?
My first thoughts were in agreement with Vashtas.I think it's probably witchcraft of a traditional type.
Hoodoo makes use of European Grimoires and Solomonic Pentacles etc.also.

Circle based magick is powerful, whichever tradition it comes from.Like Zeon says they are a visual aid,but they are also articles of containment and of barriers, depending on need/circumstance,as well as symbolic/powerful in various other ways.

Ancient grimoires refer to many many magic protection circles that practitionists used at the time.Let me show you some of them. You might recognise them...i'm trying to remember those tiny books that you speak of but nothing comes in mind for now.

Re: Magic circles?
Thank you for all this info! Can't wait to read more about this subject.
I'll be gone for one week; but I promise to post some updates.
By the way, the books I was speaking of were very simple - like "Draw this circle for money/ this one for love/ this one for finding something you have lost" etc.

Re: Magic circles?
If you happen to come across an external energy blocking circle, I'd very much appreciate a post on that.
Also be sure to post the link of the location containing the pics you throw up on the site. (No puke joke intended)
