How to set myself free from Occult punishment?

Post by pumacheese »

I have read and viewed some ritual on the internet and now I am concerned about the "curses" they are having... I am following btw. "new thought religion", following the teachings of dr. Joseph Murphy and Judge Thomas Troward. I tried the "I am all and all is me. I am one" affirmations and they seem to work somewhat. How to set myself free? Am I on the right track?

Additional info: Since the desire of the Spirit is "forward, onward, Godward", towards greater good, I think my quest for liberation is laudable.

I might just be tired here, but you believe you are cursed cause you watched a ritual online? And cursed by who, that 'new thought religion' you speak of, or somebody else?

Anyway just refuse to believe in the curse, the whole idea is ridicolous but you are giving it a lot of hold over you by treating it like a OMG SERIOUS matter, you dont need to do any 'quest for liberation' because there are nothing to be liberated from. For the same reasons you dont need any affirmations or setting free either.

You could actually curse yourself by doing that, either find a way to protect yourself or start counter the thoughts.
With thinking about it, I mean.
The more you think about it, the more it build up and the curse can come into existence.

Try thinking about a discharge that repel that energy.

No, I am talking about the punishments which are meant for the oath-breakers. I didn't take an oath, as I am not a member of any order. Yet I think the punishment extends for those who read the material unauthorized. Some grades forbid unauthorized access to material, or have a beginning which is unwelcoming for intruders (like I've heard some have the "Hence ye profane" or similar...).

I accessed those materials because I wanted to use the knowledge for the good of humanity. Although it is "stealing" if you look at the other way, and guilt says that obtaining them was selfish and bad. I've felt misfortune fall on me, I think as a result of a powerful autosuggestion (I've heard numerous have a line like that "I place myself under no less punishment..." after which some horrible psychical or physical punishment follows).

Anyway I feel somewhat better with the listed affirmations. They affirm there is only ONE existence, ONE power, and it is benevolent, moreover I am that ONE power - so there is nothing to fear from. Anyway, all your suggestions and comments are still welcome.

Being punished for oath-breaking without having taken an oath doesnt sound weird to you?

Anyway they probably just added that to make their stuff look 'IMPORTANT and SEKRIT'(TM) and yea, you are inflicting this on yourself because you knew you shouldn't read it and did anyway since you made up some excuse about wanting to use it for good. Maybe on some level you want this to be so important that it can curse anybody that read it, did you think about that? All you have to do is stomp all over it and refuse to take it seriously. And next time just tell yourself 'bwahaha and now I'll read this stuff they try to keep hidden JUST BECAUSE I CAN!!' + laugh at their silly curses.

Yeah, these things always tend to work a lot better when you believe them.
I wouldn't worry about it. You appear to be taking this far too seriously...

Seriously, folks who pierce their flesh or walk on burning coals and the like do so because they know they can.
It's the same shite. Stop worrying about it and it won't be an issue.

This reminds me of something I read a while back, it referred to it as "Red magic"*, which basically involves planting a suggestion and leaving it to the victim to curse their self.

I would recommend doing everything you can to acknowledge that it only has the power you give it, and then stop giving it that power. Don't personify it, don't think about it if possible, don't waste a moment thinking it's out to get you, because, as someone above has said, that's one way to curse yourself.

If the direct approach to self-liberation is a bit tricky, you can always balance curses out with blessings ;P

* I have no idea where this is from, Chaosmatrix maybe?

If you really want to break free develope a practioners Ego, with magic all your power comes from with in. If you truly believe that the One contains the Many, and the Many contains the One; Realize that within yourself you have the collective conciousness and all the power of every being and particle of matter in our Infinitly vast universe. Realize the power in our collective connectedness, you can summon the same power as 50 collective practioners from within you, if you are attuned with your higher self and truly believe in the One/Many complex. If this is not true, how could the ascended masters ever preformed miracles? And another thing stop fallowing, when you become a follower you limit yourself to the teachings of certain masters. The best teacher you will ever learn from is you. You are Infinitly powerful, just stop creating barriers with your own doubt and fear. I don't even banish when I curse anyone, because I tap into this endless flow of power. I'm not afraid, the spirits and I get along great, yep even the meaner guys. Stop doubting, stop fallowing, instead start seeking, and aquire. But if you want to withdraw the power of the collective conciousness from within, it's incomprehensible what faith truly is. It really can move mountains, really see yourself in all things, and all things within yourself, love and be compassionate and kind to all things; But you cannot attain this state until you first love yourself.

Thank you for your input. I'll think about all the answers. Chaoscreator, the "I am all" thing is very dear to me, so I'll search the answer there. I'll try to affirm that even a so called "hostile current" is actually friendly, since I am one with it, like I am with everything. This attitude usually helped to love "my enemies" earlier as much as I loved myself, hope it helps. Anyway I am maintaing a sort of joyous expectancy, since I know that Spirit wants everything to develop, so I won't get stuck here, my destiny is bright. I am still not "liberated", but I'll rethink everything and hope for the best :)
