possible totem message in past life memory ~help with meanin

Hi,

Not totally sure this is the best place for this, but...maybe

Ok, so....I saw something from a past life where I was tied to something in the middle of a clearing in the forest and there were a bunch of guys....I think they were military possibly...knights maybe (14 century). Anyway, I don't know what they did to me or exactly why, but.....for no apparent reason I saw a skunk with it's back towards me, lift it's tail and spray. I don't think this happened in what was going on. I think maybe it was possibly a totem message or something. Trying, possibly to illuminate to me what was going on or why.

So, I remember reading before that skunks, when they are getting close to attacking, will give you 3 chance to get away. I think the second thing was stamping its feet. Anyway, I didn't see any of that. So, I was wondering if you think it might mean that I had done something that upset those guys or someone they were loyal to and was given chances to stop, but I kept persisting and that was the point that they had finally had enough and came after me? That's what I've come up with so far, myself. What do you guys think?

P.S. - They musn't have killed me, because I seemed to have lived many decades after this.

I've had some totemy, animal spirity stuff happen and so I'd like to be able to help if I can, but I'm not sure I understand...
You were tied to something in a clearing in a forest with a bunch of quasi-military-types, and then there was a skunk, but the skunk wasn't part of what was going on with the guys? I'm not quite sure I follow you. Where was the skunk then? Did he just appear on the sidelines all of a sudden and demand your attention, or was he in the clearing, or did you just slide off to some other locale with a skunk in it?

Did it occur to you that the skunk may simply have been saying, "Hey, being tied to a thing in a clearing with a bunch of mean guys really stinks."? [wink2]

Umm....if I remember, the skunk didn't walk into the clearing. He just sort of got his very own, private empty space in my mind's eye to stand in. That's why I don't think he was directly involved in the memory. ...Plus, it was just kinda weird...

Have you had encounters with Skunk before? In other words, do you have an apriori established relationship with skunk?
I had an experience a couple of years ago, where I had animal spirits change places. One was retiring and another different species was taking over.
Thinking of this made me consider that if you have no previously existing relationship with Skunk it may have only been introducing itself to you, and it's spraying merely a demonstration of it's abilities/power, perhaps ensuring that you understood it was a skunk within the context of your vision and not mistaking it for a cat or some other creature as is often the case.

sometimes totems, when they arrive in your dreams, will "mark" you to let you know they are in your life now. sometimes this even means the totem animal biting or attacking you (this has not been the case in my own experiences, but have heard that it happens).

a possible interpretation to this dream could be thus: skunk was showing you an issue in a past life that still effects you today, and letting you know that skunk will be the one to help you work through it.

there's probably a million ways to interpret it, though, and probably no one but you can figure it out. do you do much meditations? it might benefit you in this area to meditate on it.

Marking me....that makes sense. And so does the skunk letting me know that he'll help me with...whatever it is...from the past. Maybe I should try to contact the skunk and see what happens. Thanks, Jack-o-diamonds! And all you others, too!
