Shadow spiders
Does anyone else see these things or am I alone here? I see them all the time, and I'm nowhere near sleep. Most of the time I'm sitting on the computer and I see them scurrying about the walls and ceiling. I've seen other shadow critters too, but its the spiders that mainly hang out. [eek]
We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of disociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the deadly light into the peace and safety of a new dark age. ~ H.P. Lovecraft
Re: Shadow spiders
Okay I mentioned this exact experience once to my doc (so naive!) and got some, um, medication. That I probably did warrant I guess.
Yeah, I do. I also see black cats every now and again. Not that they're everywhere, but I do think that they are some sort of manifestation of something to do with my familiar because it's usually after working with him that I catch glimpses of them for a while.
The cats make me feel like i'm not by myself if nobody else is in. I've given up wondering too much about it, it never comes to anything.
Is there a pattern with these things for you or is it all of the time? If it is all of the time, is it connected to something else that you are doing all of the time?
Also be aware that medically this is actually fairly normal apparently - er, normal for people who need some gentle chemical assistance at any rate.

Your head's like mine, like all our heads; big enough to contain every god and devil there ever was. Big enough to hold the weight of oceans and the turning stars. Whole universes fit in there! But what do we choose to keep in this miraculous cabinet? Little broken things, sad trinkets that we play with over and over. The world turns our key and we play the same little tune again and again and we think that tunes are all we are.

Re: Shadow spiders
Oh damn, I would never mention this to anyone outside of the occult community lol. I see the spiders pretty often. Though I once saw a bird-like shadow thing staring at my daughter one night when she was about 2 or 3. It was looking at her like she was just the most beautiful creature it had ever seen. It didn't even notice I was looking at it. After about 10 - 15 min, I was thinking "Am I really seeing this?" So I sat up to get a closer look, and it looked at me with this feeling of "Oh shit, she can see me!" And it flew threw the door of my bedroom. It had wings but it had odd proportions. I've seen a few shadow people, but mostly the spiders. Thank you for sharing that, I don't feel as alone now lol. Have you ever touched them? I've touched the spiders, and they have a definite energy, so I know I don't "need medication." [lol]

Hah thanks Serenity, I know, I know
I just talk too much period I think, it's a terrible habit. Pray that we never meet and you are never subjected to my horrendous loquaciousness. Um.
I haven't ever touched them or gone toward them really, just watched. Interesting that you have, i've got the energy impression from them from a distance but to actually actually go touchy touchy would probably be something else!
Do you know what brings them around for you?

Unfortunately people are very judgmental, you just have to make sure you're talking to the right people. The wrong people will have you in a rubber room wearing a fancy coat that makes you hug yourself. [wink]Penelope wrote:Hah thanks Serenity, I know, I know

No idea, It's really weird, to be honest I'm usually afraid of spiders. I'm not of these ones, now one started crawling down from the ceiling toward my daughter's face and that I did not want. They aren't harmful in any way, it was just the idea of something crawling on her I didn't like. Yeah I get those impressions from them as well. It's weird, like you can feel what their thinking in a way. Kind of cool. Years ago I actually used to see giant shadow jelly fish. I saw one with like baby jelly fish. It was interesting. [smile]

Re: Shadow spiders
I know I'm a bit of an occult newb but can I offer a possible reason for the shadow creatures? Is it possible that they might be negative psychic feedback? I get shadow creatures every now and then. Supposedly they are caused by unchecked negative emotions in a psychic. A friend of mine suggested finding a positive outlet to weigh out the negative. Personally, music is my outlet and it appears to work. Now, also, supposedly you can take control of this feedback and utilize it like a spell or bind it to objects. My friend didn't recommend doing this as it has driven people insane in the past, their minds eaten alive by their own emotions.

Re: Shadow spiders
Thanks, there was some really interesting information on that thread. Reminded me of some stuff I had forgotten, like a dream about being both a black widow spider and a woman at the same time (shared conciousness). I was watching myself as a woman, and also as a spider..it was trippy. I also had a strange bite on my arm this summer that was one of those bulls eye type bites.akimbomoss wrote:Also compare with this thread: http://www.occultforum.org/forum/viewto ... 20&t=30623
Idk about negative enrgy, but the shadow creatures themselves don't seem to be negative in any way.

Re: Shadow spiders
Serenitydawn,
You know when you find a cool article online and then don't book mark it... well a few months ago when I was looking into shadow people and creatures I found someone in Germany that reported very much the same thing, he found that he could watch them from his side vision, but if he turn to look at them they vanished, so he desided to stop looking directly at them and watched them from the side view...
Any way after some few months he couldn't stop seeing them and could see giant creatures swimming through the sky and spiders ever where... drove him mad.
His Son was the one who wrote the article, and he is now seeing them and fears he will go mad...
It was all in German and used the translate option to read it... Can I find it again... Nope... Soz.
My study is more into the Hatman and other shadow people, I too have seen things scurry in the footwell of my car or in corners of rooms, but I ignore them after hearing and reading the story forementioned.
LoS

Re: Shadow spiders
Have you ever read Lovecraft? I'm certain he saw them too, since he wrote about them. I was quite, when I started reading his stories that he saw the same things I did. I see them but they don't bother me at all. I think it's all about perspective. They won't hurt you, or at least have never hurt me, they just kind of hang out. So there's really no need to freak out about it. [grin2]LandOfShadows wrote:Serenitydawn,

Re: Shadow spiders
Serenitydawn,
I have Dyslexia and I find reading difficult unless its broken down into chunks, small paragraphs, else I read the same lines twice and loose my place all the time... Also I don't like how paper feels to the touch in books unless its glossy... Think I would do better with an Ereader... So in short I haven't read Lovecraft...lol
What I am finding that world over and through out history many have reported seeing shadow people and creatures.

Free audiobooks of some of Lovecraft's works ^_^ Personally, I find lovecraft hard to read, but I enjoy listening. There's an app for Android (possibly iPhone also) called Cthuloid which I think has even more, possibly.
