Fortune's Mystical Qabalah is one of the best I've come across.
"The path of the Sage is called
'The Path of Illumination'
he who gives himself to this path
is like a block of wood
that gives itself to the chisel-
cut by cut it is honed to perfection"

I haven't read this book yet but my friend recommended it and its easy to find a pdf of it. It's The Chicken Qabalah of Rabbi Lamed Ben Clifford: Dilettante's Guide to What You Do and Do Not Need to Know to Become a Qabalist. I just typed in the first part of the title and found the pdf. The author is Lon Milo Duquette. Hope that helps if your still looking.

You might also try Dion Fortune's "The Cosmic Doctrine" and Gershom Scholem's "On the Kabbalah and its Symbolism".
The latter is a series of essays dealing with Kabbalah as a single theme; the former being an apparently channelled discourse on the true nature of Good and Evil as it applies to Mankind.

Nope.... forego Fortune unless you wish to come to that dead end so many end at. The greats are those they stole from. The Equinox Series is good. But the best is Achad's Trilogy. It revealed something in the third of that series that only became true recently. There has never been a TREE OF LIFE until now. In that book, "The Anatomy of the Body of God", it does suggest how it could be, but until now there has only been a TREE OF KNOWLEDGE. They are distinctly different from each other. One grows.

Q.B.L. by Frater Achad is a good, easy read.
