Plutus
Hello. Has anyone tried evoking Plutus ? I performed the LBRP mentally and asked Plutus to come forth and answer my plea. When he did not appear I asked that he enter a triangle and a burning figure appeared carrying a trident. Asked him again if he had heard my plea; he said "yes" and turned away. I gave licence to depart and performed the LBRP again. Has anyone got experience of evoking Plutus ? I suppose he seemed to be unamused because I had asked he enter the triangle but without this I was getting no replies.

I had to google this one. I assume you are talking about the Greek God Plutus? I'm not overly familiar with the Greek myths so after a quick search I found him to be a wealth God. The only question I have is, why would you let him leave so easily?

I let him go quickly because he replied yes to my question of if he heard my plea and also I'm a relative beginner when it comes to evoking. I wasn't sure what to say to make him stay so any ideas would be most welcome.

Hmm, depends on a lot of things. Sometimes spirits show up in a bad mood because you didn't have available for them what they wanted - a "I dragged my ass all the way here from Acheron and you didn't bother to give me a glass of rum" sort of grumble. Sometimes a spirit is disobedient because it knows it can get away with it with a newer magician, just like some horses act like assholes with inexperienced riders. I've never evoked Plutus before so I'm not sure if that's his character - some spirits are just jerks.stepheng98 wrote:I let him go quickly because he replied yes to my question of if he heard my plea and also I'm a relative beginner when it comes to evoking. What exactly did you do for the invocation? Without that information it's a little hard to say. I saw LBRP and triangle, but what was the rest of the setup?

Re: Plutus
The evocation was done mentally so the LBRP and triangle were all mentally 'imagined', as was myself. I've had success in the past with this way of working ie. asking the spirit or whatever to come to the triangle; without the triangle I have not had success.

Re: Plutus
Well, is your model for spirit magic assuming that spirits exist as internal concepts (emanations of the subconscious, some might say) or as external ones (separate entities)?
Re: Plutus
Ok, so he said he heard your plea, That does.t mean that he agreed to carry out your wishesstepheng98 wrote:I let him go quickly because he replied yes to my question of if he heard my plea...
