The Asclepius Project
Re: The Asclepius Project
I'll do what I can.. Are there any other healers out there who could lend a hand?
Re: The Asclepius Project
I never heard about Asclepius..and i didn't understand also..can anyone please give me the full details of Asclepius projects.
Re: The Asclepius Project
Asclepius is the ancient Greek god of healing, it's where the staff with a single serpent entwined around it comes from. If you're ever in Edinburgh, check out the surgical museum; you'll see several representations of Asclepius' staff, it's a very old symbol of healing.
There's plenty more mythology behind it, you should be able to find a bit of information about Asclepius via google.
As for the Asclepius project; it was an initiative we were running here in an effort to help members of the community and those who they care about enough to ask for the asclepius project's help, and at the same time it was intended as a healing group for the sake of practising our healing arts. Basically, we would ideally try to have all of our healers work on someone at the same time. We had a couple of runs which I would class as successful, but I think interest kind of tailed off, or the members faded away. While we were together though, it was a very good practical exercise in healing, which is the key component of the project.
I'm still here though, welcoming other healers to join the Asclepius project, and offering up all the healing I can give in the meantime
It could be worth looking at this again and re-evaluating the project, its direction etc....

Vasta this is a lovely thread. If anybody feels like working on someone, i'd request some energy health promotion my way. I may have trashed my energy body with a project last year and it hasn't been the same since. I am beginning to wonder if I should just 'fess up to my herbalist and see what he can do for me.
Your head's like mine, like all our heads; big enough to contain every god and devil there ever was. Big enough to hold the weight of oceans and the turning stars. Whole universes fit in there! But what do we choose to keep in this miraculous cabinet? Little broken things, sad trinkets that we play with over and over. The world turns our key and we play the same little tune again and again and we think that tunes are all we are.

I'm no healer, but I'll remember you to my gods and send out kind thoughts to you. Hopefully some of that positive energy reaches you and helps in some small way [grin] .Penelope wrote:Vasta this is a lovely thread. Thanks Na, gems both of you. I could keep you up to date on any raging energy body health improvements?

Yeah, that sounds like a good plan. That way we can know if its working [thumbup] .Penelope wrote:Thanks Na, gems both of you. I could keep you up to date on any raging energy body health improvements?

If it's not rude to ask, what kind of project? Just curious.Penelope wrote:Vasta this is a lovely thread. If anybody feels like working on someone, i'd request some energy health promotion my way. Re: The Asclepius Project
Not rude, just slightly embarrassing. The long and short of it is that I have a symbiotic familiar that I was neglecting viciously in favour of an psionic project with my sister about a year back. We were experimenting with physical force and very slowly getting somewhere, and I was very excited and failed to take my familiar seriously when he told me to back off of it. I breached symbiotic etiquette and wore myself out (so did my sister... she lost around two stone after suddenly becoming allergic to almost all of the food groups and is currently a nervous wreck) and was in the naughty corner with an entity that I should have taken more seriously.Rin wrote:

It doesn't sound like it should have happened from messing with psionics, but energy work is a secret bitch for attracting nonsense and weirdness. My familiar is just a bitch. Ha. Ha.

Re: The Asclepius Project
I'll be happy to send some healing mojo your way too ^_^
Mostly energy body stuff you say? Do you prefer working in any one energy-body system, like Chakras/Meridians etc, specifically and largely to the exclusion of other systems?

Re: The Asclepius Project
Thanks whoever has helped so far, if it was Sunday morning that you decided to give it a go then I am most grateful (wow, wherever that came from).
I don't prefer any system, and I play with all the systems that I know

Re: The Asclepius Project
I've been thinking about this project off and on since 2009. Surprising that it isn't taking off.
Is it a lack of advertising? The name of the project too... vague?
I think a problem can be the lack of anonymity when making a request. From personal experience online some people don't wish to tell the whole story until some back and forth dialogue has happened. This is possible in the forum but at the same time anyone can read about their issues.
The idea and purpose behind the project shouldn't fail. In the right hands the project should be quite successful on a international level.

I don't think i can help.

Out of curiosity, why do you think this is?Enlilki wrote:I've been thinking about this project off and on since 2009. Surprising that it isn't taking off.

Re: The Asclepius Project
Why do I think the idea/goal of the project should be successful?
Because there is a certain level of demand. This thread isn't a accurate representation of the people out there looking for the service.
Or did you mean something else?

Re: The Asclepius Project
It's hard to organize volunteers on the internet to do something tangible and useful on the long term (that UK cancer center that put slide examination in the public domain comes to mind) much less organize an mass of people to do something intangible and questionably useful, especially when the group of people you're relying upon to fulfill this demand has a high flake quotient. So, how does it balance the risk vs reward ratio and give incentive to participate?
Re: The Asclepius Project
My mother has been asking me to heal her with magic, but I don't have the skills to do that yet. She has a plethora of health issues that have given her chronic pain over the past six plus years, but recently something entirely new has come into her life: migraines. My mother had a couple of seizures earlier this month, for the first time in her life, and since then she's been plagued by migraines. I'm honestly surprised how much the migraines cause her to suffer compared to the degenerative disc disorder or arthritis or fybromyalgia or whatever else she has that I can't remember. It's probably too much to ask the Asclepius Project to heal all of it, so now I'll just go for the migraines.
Please heal my mother's frequent migraines.

Re: The Asclepius Project
It has taken off, though. It's not meant to be a big thing,or a particularly public one for that matter,as far as I'm aware. It's here and available if needed for those who see it and ask.I've been thinking about this project off and on since 2009. Surprising that it isn't taking off.

Members can pm any of the participants so far and ask in private. [thumbup]I think a problem can be the lack of anonymity when making a request. You make a good point on that and a decent assessment, sometimes others reading here can benefit from seeing similar problems to their own. but sometimes it can be inappropriate to share a lot of personal stuff publically,so it can work both ways.True.
I don't know if others want or need that to happen,so I won't answer for them, but I have my own life to deal with and plenty to keep myself busy and engaged with IRL.I am rather reserved, personally and unwilling to garner attention of the kind an international footing would bring. The idea and purpose behind the project shouldn't fail. In the right hands the project should be quite successful on a international level.
I doubt the project would be sustainable at this level for a number of reasons.IMMV,of course.
@Frumens.I'd be glad to help, but I need to wait for the energy direction of others first.I can boost, but not direct energy very well yet.
