Let me preface this by saying I am by no means a noob to witchcraft. I have been practicing since 1985 and no, I don't like the show "Charmed." [crazy] (Bleah.)
With that said: I am miserable where I live. I have tried for eight years to love it -- making friends, trying to involve myself in what this area has to offer, etc. It IS a pretty place, but it is not my place...period. I suffer daily with a hole in my heart...I don't know why, but this place is not for me.
Unfortunately, my husband loves it here...he grew up here. And my children are growing up here. I DO NOT want to hurt them. But I feel I die a little each day here. I'm not trying to be selfish or whiny, this is a huge part that is missing from my life. This place is not "home," I am never "home" and I feel lost all the time.
I have considered asking the Goddess to find a new place that we would all love. "All" includes me...believe it or not. [wink] Yes, I do feel resentful that because I'm outnumbered, so to speak, it's ok for me to live in hell while everybody else parties out around here. [crazy] And yeah, I've considered that I may be being "sooo selfish" by actually wanting ME to be happy too...trust me...I've considered it every day for eight years and tried to force my square peg into this round hole.
Can I do a spell to move house to a place we would *all* love? Should I? Opinions?
You don't want to leave because of your husband's ties. I understand not wanting to hurt the man you love, but marriage is a partnership and your feelings matter, too. I'm not asking for the gory details - that's your business - but obviously the two of you have talked about it. You said you felt you were dying a bit day by day. Maybe you need third party intervention? This isn't like you're pissed because he leaves his socks draped on the bannister.
I don't know the geography of where you live, but maybe this is a possibility. Take New Mexico. It's mostly a big flat high elevation desert, so if you like hot and dry, Albuquerque would be a good place for you. If you don't do the closeness of concrete boxes in 100 degree heat and this is contributing to your dying inside, you could pick up and move a thirty minute drive east to the Manzano Mountains. There's pine trees, water, deer, bears, snow in the winter, and a hell of a lot less people. It ain't Yosemite, but it's very much not the hot brown desert. Could you make such a move? He'd still be close to his people, and you might be happier. I don't know if this would help your problem or if it's even possible given when you live, but if you can do it, maybe that would be a worthwhile goal.
Magically speaking, do you have a fireplace? Maybe a balls-out call to Hestia would be in order. You'd need frankincense, honey bread packed with rosemary and a dish of olive oil, Greek wine (maybe some ouzo? Don't forget to add some water), and probably a cooked dish of lentils or barley. If you have a hearth, obviously you should do it at the hearth 'cause Hestia, right? Elsewise your doing this around the oven, since that's the closest hearth you've got. Baking a slip of paper into the bread with your goal on it would stack additional psychic charge. Write it in food coloring on one of those little slips of rice paper that you make egg rolls with and stuff it in the loaf before you bake it. Obvious symbolism here, with adding the fire of will at an altar to Hestia to bring your spell to fruition. Time of day would either be dinnertime (if you can get away with it) or early in the morning before the rest of the family gets up. Dinnertime is the time where the family comes together around the hearth for a meal, and the first task of the morning used to be restarting the fire in the hearth. That's Hestia's task, and so Hestia's time of day (plus you're trying to start something up, so doing it in the evening before Hestia "banks the fire for the night" - ie, stopping something - likewise applies.) Depending on what exactly your goal is, like stopping the feeling of dying inside, you might do it right before bed. As Hestia would bank the fire for the evening, you'd use her to bring to a close that bad feeling. You could also petition Hestia to help him understand how you feel, and perhaps help you move. She's the goddess of the hearth and home, after all.
Would any of this do?

Azkhet, wow, yes, that surely does help. Why didn't I think of Hestia? I think I've been so immersed in leaving, leaving, leaving that I haven't been thinking of the home itself! (smacking forehead)
I think I shall definitely call out to Hestia. If anyone will understand, she'll be the one. Got to go shopping now for baking supplies.
Your answer was brilliant, I can't thank you enough but I'll do it anyway. Thank you.
