Please some help Advise ? ive had a spell hex put on me :S

Hello

So yes I fell out with a friend , and I was told recently they have put a spell on me , (or more so payed a Portuguese witch to put one on me)

Ive been feeling the effects of it this past month though just though i was depressed.

Since finding out I have begun Practicing the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram.

I'm new to the Occult though have been fascinated with it for a long time , I guess this is a good opportunity to begin.

But please any help and advise on how I go about removing this spell would be Great.

Best thing is ignoring it. It sounds like a chliché, but still it is one of the best ways you can do. Ignorance is a form of banishing, you can see that when ignorant people (without valueing "ignorance" in this context) are confronted with things like hypnosis, tarot or occult topics. Also I think performaing the lesser banishing ritual is a good start but before using it practically I would advise you to do a little research for yourself, maybe by going after some questions. Examples:

- What do I want to accomplish with it? (You can use it for more then just banishing, it is also often used as a focus)
- What does the symbols mean?
- Which entities do I call/summon?
- What is their mythological and mythological background?

Just several questions but do as it pleases you. "Do what you want shall be your only law!" [eg]

Magick is not all about plannig, quoting ritual formulas and translating ancient texts but also about intuition and a good part of improvisation (depending on your field) and fun (in my humble opinion). But a good preperations in fields you are interested in is not wrong, at least keeping in mind what it is all about and not just copying something from a sinistre magick homepage.

Banish with laugher, google it if you like.. it is used in Chaos Magick now, but if I remember correctly it is far older.

For example:
Think about how silly it is that some random Portugese bloke thinks he can curse you, make a mental picture of him as some looser doing some stupid little ritual and then taking money for it, cackling to himself over ripping off your ex-friend for a fake curse. Make this how you see the situation and laugh at it.

I basically agree with the other posts and I also think using the Banishing Ritual is a good practice. I would also suggest burning sage, frankincense or dragon's blood to help clear your space. Remember, your space is yours and you have the right to assert your will to control it. Turn fear or worry into aggression.

If you still feel uneasy and are unsure, then there are good works on psychic self-defence. I don't know as much about curses themselves, but, I know they are covered in some of these works.

Well the ideal thing to do to break a curse would be to stop believing curses objectively work. Of course this is very advanced stuff, we are talking controls over beliefs! This question is really at the heart of understanding magick and occultism. Occultism works, at least mainly, in the subjective universe, the universe that only the individual lives in. Even if someone tried to put a curse on you, you must let it affect you otherwise it is useless. Sounds simple, but far from it.

So, I would recommend using your own belief system to counter it. Do you have a symbol you believe can grant protection from such curses? Wear it, draw it around your room, if it has been reinforced for a while get it tattooed so you don't have to worry about it again. Banishing rituals are great if they are backed by your belief. Ritual / ceremonial / mental magick of any kind. Set up an altar. In my experience, it is a feeling of being cursed / lack of control that drives many to the occult originally, it is a good place to start.

In line with the above, see this curse as a gift to start you down the path of occultism and magick and it is no longer a curse at all

How did you know that they put a spell on you? If it was a psychic who told you that, did he/ she tell you which spell was cast on you? What kind of feelings are you experiencing lately?
