Hi,
I would like to ask about tarot symbolism. Do the Marsey Tarot, Rider Waite Tarot, Thoth Tarot and Golden Dawn Tarot have the same symbolism? And is necessary to follow a spiritual path for using some of the tarots? I am not even sure which is my spiritual path.
Tarot Symbolism
Re: Tarot Symbolism
I think that the symbolism needs to "speak" to you. If the vision, or interpretation of the cards do not resonate within you, then they are not for you. I guess it's a personal thing. [wink]
Re: Tarot Symbolism
If you are unsure then it might be best to pick the most 'neutral' and most used, which would be the Rider Wait deck. That seems to be a good one to learn on.

Re: Tarot Symbolism
Do the cards mean the same in the Marseilles, Golden Dawn, Waite and Crowley Thoth tarots? And what do you need to know for using the tarots? Kabbala for the Marseilles, Golden Dawn teachings for the Golden Dawn and Waite and Thelema for the Thoth tarot are necessary? And the interpretations of cards in one of these tarots are valid for the others?

Re: Tarot Symbolism
This article has a lot of decent information about Archetypes of the major arcana,it's well worth reading. You should study how various groups interpret Tarot and how they utilise it in their practices. It's informative and educational to do so.[The first link]
Tarot has Astrological,Archetypal and Numerological correspondences that can be very helpful in learning how to use them for yourself too. Some are paradigm/system specific, but not all.
But,at some point you have to get your feet wet and experience them for yourself,in action.Experiment and meditate on and play with them, get used to handling them and interacting with them, outside of the books and articles. [thumbup]
More wee taster articles, very basic and I don't necessarily perosnally endorse everything, but fair examples, initially:
