What will you do/are you doing to shape our world?

Lately I have been feeling the pangs of isolation and lack of faith in my fellow beings that seem to come in waves with regards to the dissonance between the things that I choose to involve myself in and seek out and the things thrust upon me by society and the things that most people are "interested" in...

I always hear people talking about things that they seem passionate about changing in the world and yet they never seem to talk of ways the could change them, let alone act on those ideas. It is actually extremely scary when you really consider it. Sheeple, sleepers, the unaware masses... they go by many names. I guess the whole point of this post is I want a little reassurance that there people out there who aren't just meat robots and are working on important issues, especially I would love to hear from others who understand what I mean above and are interested in the occult as well. Soo:

What is your behavioral response to all that knowledge you guys are cramming heads with? Are you just a talker? What have you changed about the direction of your life? and most importantly:

What is your end game?

Suppose I will share mine too....

I personally believe very much in the nature of science and repeatable results because regardless of what you like some things happen and nature has patterns. I am a science student and majoring in psychology. To help bring about a new paradigm of cognitive science and really work on bringing knowledge of astral projection/lucid dreaming and how we are mentally manipulated by the powers that be and the technologies behind that manipulation. I plan on doing research in the field of psychology as a starting point.

I do absolutely nothing to shape the world outside the parts of it that affects me. And this means I don't talk about what I should do 'if' or what others should do, or anything like that.

Within the parts near me that do affect me I do quite a lot, it involves keeping the 'normal' ones unawares of what I'm up to and else from annoying me too much, which includes seeing them for who they are and accepting them as such, if they want to move on in some spiritual way, they have to want it themselves and if they don't want this, it isn't my job to push them over that particular cliff... you have to see them in their terms, maybe they are happier in their robot-life?

And did you think about that they are the well-adjusted ones in this world, and you are the misfit trying to change the world to fit you? Their 'lack of faith' is the normal thing. Interesting way of seeing it, it changes oneself from the one trying to rescue the world, to some disruptive element in it.

I feel have accepted those types of people for what they are, under a different definition then you though.

We all have different models of what's going on on this planet (and different definitions of things like "normal"), and I was more curious to hear about other peoples.

I'm in broad agreement with Myyrkal on this,but I understand what you mean,I think,in terms of : be the change you want to see?

My version of that statement lies mostly in what I do here.
Both in my active membership and my staff duties helping to keep the place ticking over. [grin]

We provide a platform for discussion and debate here,as well as a resource for information and networking,so that Occultists,Pagans,Magickians and any other interested parties can meet and talk in a way that they might not get the chance to do otherwise.
We think this is a good thing.I hope you agree. [thumbup]

This is my best attempt so far at helping others,as I don't have time to mentor or take students and I am not even sure I'm proficient enough to do so yet,even if I did have the time and energies to spare.

See I like that! I think that is a great thing, this forum allows for a repository of info and a means to facilitate the generation of new info (among other things) and I really do feel that that is an objectively positive thing, especially due to the nature of many topics related the occult...

I think I may have assumed to much in my expectations of info not being directly related to the Occult but rather being "occulted" being prevalent on these forums... may be off topic now but do many people on here talk about hypnosis, nlp, psychology or any (for lack of a better word) conspiracy related issues and how these topics relate to the occult?? Does anyone even know what this forum freshmeat means? I am new to these forums...

No offence, but I have this feeling you assumed a lot about the occult and the ones practising it, in general. Did you come here expecting to find something negative, or expect us to prove to you 'the occult' isn't? In most ways we are like everybody else, and we are as different as everybody else. Some want to save the world, a lot don't... and the reasons for those vary. We have other interests than the occult and I think most of us aren't keeping them sharply separated from the 'occult' part of our lives, like somebody truly christian isn't only christian in church, if that comparison helps.

Normally I wouldn´t even bother answering such a request since I take such tricks just as a rhetorical offense somebody tries when he is out of arguments.

Topics like this are alive when people feel like to talk about that topic, you can´t force it on them if they don´t mind your request.

I also agree with Myrkkal´s last answer where he adressed your expectations about "us" occult people, forgive me this generalisation. Besides, analyzing ones questions and given information is part of giving an answer, isn´t it?
I am still human, still living in the herd, still buying stuff other people buy, still living in a city where other people live. I personally don´t care if this world goes to hell, to heaven or the my little Pony universe. I have to take care about enough things, I don´t bother shaping the world besides those things except I feel like doing it.

If that isn´t what you wanted to hear, deal with it! This is a place for discussion, not for adulating the own opinion by getting expected answers.

This is actually meant as help: Look at how you 'reach out', if you keep getting this reaction it is most likely the way your posts are seen that is the problem. It sounds like you say 'I don't like your opinions, can anybody else answer' after most replies you get. And/or complain about others in some form. I'm not sure this is what you intend, but it sounds like it.

I don't care if people don't aren't on the same path as me or even a similar or that they feel the need to point that out, what bothers me is that the above responses we're making it seem like this question wasn't even a valid one and that I was "adulating my own opinion".... Sure I may have been but so what? It is my will and I adore it. Didn't everyone who reply "adulate" their opinion anyways??

I wasn't looking for constructive criticism, If I was I would have stated so. I just wanted to hear from others who a walking a more macroscopic path in terms of what they will to do.

I'll try again.. if you seem negative about the answers you get because they aren't 'right' or what you are looking for, it is much less likely that anybody else will share anything with you, since they won't know if their answers are what you are looking for unless they tried. Or they just think you are rude and won't spend their time on you. Explaining why you have to be like this isn't really helping.

I do as I say I do,when I write about or talk about my knowledge,learning and/or experiences and I behave as a decent human being,most of the time,whether this is magickally ,morally or mundanely inclined.

I no longer feel the need to conform to the expectations or ideals of others.

I'm trying to fully understand the human mind and our full potential as well as sharing that knowledge, trying to help people see through the fiction that separates us and understand all that strength is mental, things of that nature. It's not wrong to say the Luciferians are trying to unite the world in an unbreakable occult nature, but it's certainly no "new world order".
