Reusing / Recharging Sigils

I find myself often having to make a sigil to fulfill something that I already made a sigil for weeks before, because often the same problem rises again.
My question is, can I just keep my sigils, and use them again when the need arises? I know many people advise against keeping sigils, but I don't understand why.

I've reused sigils before but if this is more then a couple of times then this is the time to step back a bit and look at the situation a bit better.
Why are you needing to cast the sigil over and over again is the first time not producing the right results?
If they are the right results why is it not lasting is there some way to tweak it to make it last ?
If no then well it might be time to make a servitor to take care of it for you.

As said, seems sigils aren't working out for you. Don't feel bad, I've never found any use for sigils outside of the average symbols used to simplify a concept.

My understanding is that once the sigil is sent to the unconscious you have to forget the sigil and especially forget the desire. You can achieve this state if you spend your time recharging the sigil. Zenick mentioned a servitor as an alternative because a servitor is a kind of background permanent sigil. It is eventually the solution but you should first make some introspection and reflect on your true desire and how you could fulfil it.

It wouldn't make sense to forget sigils and put them away. You bind the idea to your mind through intense ritual then put the sigil up where you'll see it. You don't need conscious attention, even out of the corner of your eye it'll affect you. My concern is if the OP does more than ritual. Ritual is an aid, you can't make a sigil and call it a job well done, you have to go about creating your change with the sigil as support.

Imo the main reasons to destroy a sigil is to help let go of it from waking consciousness and to reaffirm that it is done and working.Remember this is really just a beginner technique until you make it more. The learning to let go and reinforcing that it is working is important to a beginner.

As for keeping the sigil in view like DrawingSun said is more along the lines of a servitor in technique as you keep feeding it energy and it grows.
Yes I'm nit picking a bit but they are two different techniques.

I think the two main reasons that sigils and most magic don't work are:

First a unconscious belief that it won't work leading to blocking it from working and not putting enough energy into it in the first place .

Both of you have brought up parts of the second.

Second is what I'll call a false desire so it something you think you want but really you could care less and won't put in any effort to actually get also relates to not actually going out and trying to get it by mundane means with the extra help of the sigil. By reinforcing the sigil over and over or treating it as a servitor you can sometimes get results for a false desire but really what's the point you don't want it lol. Know they self!

For me I wouldn't do a intense ritual for a sigil I find a light trance/gnostic states the best for them as I use them just for a slight boost in the right direction not for a major changer at least the normal sigil method . I would do a intense ritual for a servitor thought.

From what I get from the op's post though is that it's working just not lasting so refinement or something else is needed.
