While on the subject of "Lizzies" I like Liz Greene, the astrologer - she is such an inspiration :)

I have just been posting in the off topic occult section, I am drafting my book, hope you don't mind, I also shared a link for a radio interview I will be in today in the same thread too, talking about my channel and the upcoming book :)

If you could create an astrology section, I would be more than happy to contribute, I have been making videos since January and now I want to get it all down :)

Hey everyone! :D

I am posting my new Dailymotion channel link here - I will be uploading to this channel as well as my YouTube channel too, but hopefully with more specific and exclusive content to this channel only such as a documentary that I am hopefully going to accomplish by the end of the year.

http://www.dailymotion.com/astropsychology

Please feel free to subscribe - I posted it here as I thought it would be a waste to open a new thread just for this. :)

Loving the activity on here lately too - lots of juicy debate to help me in writing my book with fresh new topics of the moment.

Have fun and stay safe too. ;)

Hey everyone, just thought I would share the introduction video to my book that is being released tomorrow on Amazon - links included in the video.

Big shout out to those who opened discussions with me on here over the past few months - your insights, ideas, criticisms, suggestions and debates were incredibly valuable to me - I will be interacting much more on here as I see this is the better place to open lengthy discussions that have a better chance of achieving occams' razor sooner, rather than never or later.

I will continue to promote this site on my YouTube channel - the link to it is one of the three main links on my channel page.

Thank you so much - it's the platform that is the message in my opinion, some of them work, some of them don't - this is definitely one that works!

I will gladly post it in the Bazaar, there are links to the book from the video that go to my website first, but I will include the direct Amazon link at the Bazaar. :)

[grin] well damn, you have just made me close the question I had for some time now

I love your work, you explain such hard concepts so easy and have a great ability to inspire thought in people. This acceptance of perspectivism has been in my mind for some time but I don have formal philosophy education so I'm not able to explain it even to myself. It's great that someone tackled this problem, especially someone who explains things so easily [grin]

I have noticed that you were discussing with other members a while ago about how to communicate this message to the larger audience. I can't really remember why I didn't joined the discussion then, so let me share my knowledge that may help you. We share same beliefs and that's one reason I would like to help you somehow [grin]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3oIiH7BLmg

This video is really great. It explains our perspective of time from psychological perspective. As the narrator states, we get angry because we wait for something to download for 1 whole minute. That's pretty depressing if you ask me [crazy]

But if you look it from Papert's constructionism perspective, you can use this knowledge to get across audience's ego and actually teach them how to think differently.

As you can see this video is visually attractive, simply presented. You have achieved this visual attractiveness on some level, but I think lot of people won't watch it or will close the tab because of the length of your videos. As it was stated in the video, people are freaking out when they have to wait for enormous length of time called a minute, so I wouldn't expect anything less considering other media types.

So I can hypothesize that if you round up this lessons into little lessons that can be presented in 10 minutes and provide critical questions, a "hook" in first two minutes by using thought provoking questions, visual attractiveness or some similar method that provides pleasure in some way, it may very well result in a larger audience that you need.

Hope it helps [thumbup]

Thank you. I don't have a formal education either, this is all of my own work and interest.

But if you look it from Papert's constructionism perspective, you can use this knowledge to get across audience's ego and actually teach them how to think differently.
Although I am all for an audience that will listen, when it comes to my more advanced work on Nietzsche and Plato, existentialism, communication theory etc... I have come to accept that some will not want to hear what I am talking about, as they will not want to accept certain things, or they don't see the relevance and see no need to begin to understand the concepts.

Existentialism is often equated to a philosophy of despair, angst and many other tings, including fascism (which is incorrect of course - anyone who has read Nietzsche will see that there is nothing within his work that would be connected to fascism) - the ego is what I have to call to, it is not the issue.

Nietzsche is devastating yet liberating at the same time - his works have a way of calling you out on your cynicism and then the devaluation begins - each line is incredibly vast and dense within all of his works and act like mantra.

This is where I beg to differ - I have come to the understandings I have because i have taken the time to understand, if something is interesting to me, I will listen to hours and hours on end of it. There are many lectures online that are well over 2 hours. If people are that impatient, then my channel is not for them - as Nietzsche addresses art as the highest affirmation for mankind, he has no doubt included the essence of movement in his work. There is no easy way to offer synopsis on Nietzsche, in order to understand his work correctly, with worthwhile emphasis, you have to be able to demonstrate movement with his work - especially when it comes to his work on idealism, anti-foundationalism, nihilism and his master-slave ontology.

Although I appreciate your feedback and no doubt there will be a call for shorter videos on certain concepts, I have to stick to how I have chosen to put Nietzsche across - he is not for everyone, as it is what he is talking about (which in turn is what I am talking about), which is the problem - it's not fluffy at all, it's not talking about another world, peace or salvation - it's talking about the here and now and how we are responsible.

Many will not understand Nietzsche fully until they are of a natural age, as experience is very important in understanding him, but even then, many detach intellectual and academic problems from personal ones, without the binding of these two, Nietzsches words are not fully accepted - they are put across as purely theory.
This is why I have released the book and there are shorter videos that I made, but again - people will either want to hear this information, or they wont. Also, the information i am talking about has to be read too, it has to be absorbed - you can have all the videos in the world about it, but without the books I am referring to, it will not have the same effect - all I offer is emphasis, I wouldn't like to cut down the information anymore, as I have to show movement for it to be correct. It's also just introductory too, these videos touch upon the surface.

Hope it helps [thumbup]
Feedback is welcome for sure, all i ask is that people be honest and if people don't tune in to what i am saying, then it is because they are not interested in what I am saying - truth is something that will not escape notice and something that will never be forgotten.

;)

I welcome feedback and criticism, as long as it is constructive etc...

I have other projects on my channel, such as astrology - this topic never fails for views and hits etc, there is also other content regarding misinformation online too and this also gets a few hits, so I know that it is what I am saying that is the issue and not how it is presented the majority of the time.

I will be writing a book on astropsychology soon - this would no doubt fly off the shelf on Amazon, the tutorial series has done amazingly well over the past six months, but my heart and focus has been on existentialism, as my own personal growth and knowledge is the main purpose of the channel. If I am not being genuine and showing my movement from A-B, then how can others begin to believe me or take my ideas seriously? haha

The book is not doing much as of yet, but I have kept it at a low price for the time being, so as to hopefully increase the audience, but it will be for those who have simliar concerns that are contained within the book.

Yeah it is a massive project that you're doing. There is a lot of information that one has to learn to be able to get to the point B as you've stated. If you do it this way as you've written, I can understand why you're making it more of a course than an insta-knowledge packages that are presented today.

So you're practically learning this stuff, then as a self-given test, you make a video where you explain it?
