Necronomicon
Re: Necronomicon
This work was written by Robert Turner in 1978.
That it tells the reader he is unable to use banishing rituals for these beings is really not good in itself and is not realistic.

Re: Necronomicon
Looking into the grimoires and Jake Stratton Kents work on the Grimorium Verum if you are into ceremonial magick would be more advised that wasting your time on simons joke book.
There are also many living elements in Quimbanda which would be of interest if you are into such systems of magick also.
Thats not to say you cant use the necronomicon.. like all grimoires it does contain elements of truth,.. mostly due to it making heavy use of older sources to make it more plausible. My main gripe is that I don't believe the author actually worked the system and that is was likely written from an armchair.
Still, rife with error:

It is difficult enough in the grimoire tradition to construct from older sources, nevermind creating new, even more unreliable sources from which to practice with. I also dont understand why anyone would want to make contact with one of Lovecrafts described spirits, if they do indeed exist.
These spirits wouldnt even have anything to offer you - even Luciferian Gnostic sects who worship antinomian spirits and gods hold that this opposer spirit is only against the cosmos, not the spirits that they are trying to 'liberate'. Lovecrafts described beings are basically only interested in a sort of spiritual nihilism.
