something is/was trying to get in touch with me

or rather was.
a few incidents have happened, but for the past few months everything has been quiet.
i am not sure where to begin, but i will mention a few things that have happened.
there seems to have been a physical manifestation. a smokey figure. this is not on the astral plane, since i am not capable of travelling astrally at will.
something has also very clearly called out my name. it was a female voice, but quite heavy.
then in two dreams, an entity took the form of a woman and showed herself to me. her face only. and the same entity i believe scratched me. i still have the mark. it's been a while. a few months since "she" scratched me.

i am not sure if it's that same entity, or several different ones. regardless, i am not sure what they want.

perhaps someone can help?

i can certainly cope with it. i am just puzzled by it, you know? why me? what, if anything, are you trying to convey to me? why scratch me? what does it all mean?

so i am not really sure where to go from here, or what to do about it. any pointers?

about your problem:

(do some banishing first - I am not an expert in that; but there are very experienced members in this forum who can help you with that)
when you are interested in the whys and are emotionally stable..
try to communicate
I would recommend a pendulum
speak aloud; say hello; introduce yourself; and ask polite
but.. I think this could also be unwise.. it seems like some angry being.. the risk about asking is, that this 'thing' could further manifest itself (be it in your psyche or in reality - depends on what you believe) and therefore become more and more nasty.
when you don't trust yourself in these occult matters and don't have access to experienced people around - please think it through

thanks for the tips.
i've tried banishing, and regularly do protection work.
and sometimes when i stop the protection work for a while, something always appears. usually in dreams.
nonetheless, the protection work seems to work fine for me.
but i will try the pendulum. thanks for the idea.

Do you actually want to communicate with this entity or do you want it to stay away?

It's been my experience that most entities that cause physical harm (long healing scratches, for example) aren't the ones you really want to keep around unless you know how to control them and have the power and experience to do so.

Have you claimed your space? Shielded and/or sealed it?

Some entities stay in one place. Others travel around. You may have come across a traveler that was just passing through. Do you want to try to connect with it and bring it back? Do you honestly think that you can control the situation and encounter if you do?

Some people like having spirits and entities in their home. I'm not one of them. I like the quiet inside my walls. It's really a matter of personal preference.

Does it really matter what it is that it/they want if they're willing to and capable of causing physical harm? If you're hellbent on trying to communicate with it (although, I do think it's a little late for it now - unless you want to prepare for the next encounter) then there's a bunch of ways you can accomplish this.

It's a general 'rule of thumb' that entities that cause physical harm don't want anything good from you. The physical harm causes fear, anxiety and even possibly anger and those emotions are what they feed on. Do you want to turn yourself into an all you can eat buffet? Some people do.

thanks for your reply.

i actually want to communicate with the entity. what i've described isn't a recent occurence. the scratch was a first, yes. but there have been multiple times in the past where entities have made their presence known. and i am certain that this isn't the last of these encounters. i just don't know how to get in touch with them.

i personally think that i can control the situation if it were to come back. i do obviously work on my shield, and myself. have been for a while, building up myself to be able to deal with such situations. it's just a matter of figuring out how to make it/these entities come back.

i am not afraid, or anxious, or angry for that matter. i am more curious than anything else.

question is: how do i get it to come back?

Close your eyes, slow your breathing, get into a near meditative state. Remember everything that you can about the entity and when it's so fresh in your mind that it could've happened yesterday - call out to it. Ask it to return. It's not a guarantee that it will but the strand between the two of you should still be intact.

Since roving entities seems to be a natural occurrence for you it may be easier to just wait for the next one to come around.

You've got your basics for communicating - Ouija boards, pendulums, Spirit boards, etc. Or you can get outside and try to communicate with the spirits around you. Trees, plants, rocks, a stream, etc. Have you tried to communicate with any of these things? Once you get into practice with communicating with the unseen without additional tools entities are easier to communicate with.

i will definitely try that. thank you.
i do every now and then speak to it, and do ask it to present itself as it has done in the past. so perhaps that will keep the link intact.

and i haven't tried communicating with the spirits around me. but i suppose i should start devoting more time to that. specially considering that one of the entities (whether it was the same or a entirely different one is up for debate) actually called out my name. and since my name isn't common, the pronunciation was also perfect. which leaves me scratching my head. has anything like this actually happened to either of you, or anyone you know?

i will get a proper pendulum. i've tried that before, but it didn't work too well. firstly it was a ring, and clearly not that balanced. also, i felt that i was possibly influencing it as well. just need a bit more practice i suppose.

As just stated in another thread, to truly understand and work with such experiences I'll need to know more about you, not the events. Are you stressed? Were you more stressed when events started / reoccurred? Big life events? Sleeping troubles? Sickness? Age? Inheritable problems in the family? All relevant information is needed. Many jump in as if we can just give you a generic guideline for you to banish / interact when in reality we must understand YOU to understand your experiences.
