Where to Get a Human Skull

Post by alejandrocerv »

[twisted] [twisted] [twisted] [twisted] [twisted] [twisted] [twisted] [twisted] [twisted] [twisted] [twisted] [twisted]

Wondering where to get a real human skull legally and safely, without it coming broken in a FedEx box laced with anthrax and cocaine. [thumbup]

Actually though, I'd really like to have one, as I'm looking for one for my first ever art "project."

Anyone know how these things happen?

It's legal to buy them they're just pricey. Google it, "human skulls for sale" turned up a plethora of options.

Why the Troll pit?

It's a legitimate question and an intriguing one at that. [thumbup]

I have several carved resin skulls,as I don't feel any need to possess a real one, outside of my own,of course, lol.

I did wonder about the legality issue, but Ramscha's handy FAQ helped a lot with that and I do remember seeing news articles recently concerning illegal sales of skulls [in the US,I think?]and a prosecution ongoing because of it,but I didn't read about it in depth.I might go do that now.

I also recall an issue a while back regarding China and the sale of body parts/ bones of executed 'criminals'.I don't know if that's why they stopped, but it might be.China has an atrocious human rights record and many of the 'criminals' executed did nothing more than speak out against one or more of the State's many abuses of human rights.

The disease aspect is another one I was thinking of,but again:dealt with in that faq,so ensuring the supplier is legit is the biggest point here. [grin]

Thanks so much, everyone! I may have to go with a resin skull for a while, as a real skull is far out of my price range. It's for a photography project I want to do. :)

One simply needs to ship the purchase.

The best skulls and human remains in general can be bought from India.
But yes, they are expensive and you can find old school skeletons and skulls for a much much cheaper price at second hand store and the internet.

I've been wandering if our friend really wants a skull from India while there are so many "races" and he won't really know much about it's origin apart it's taken stolen whatever from a burial ground while it was awaiting cremation with many other ethnicities having same custom of burial. I wander if you want a skull you know well who it belonged to, it's the right thing. At least know "race" if it was of a man or woman of germanic, ce, slavic, caucasian, balkanic what ever you choose. I would care which "race" and ethnicity I'm getting at least to realize the properties of the skull, not coz I want a particular "race" on my lunch menu, but because of the pure fact that whatever bone you take it has much more residual energy of whoever it belonged to than anything else. Not same whose whatever brain it carried, not coz I think whole generations that lived by euginics in the usa on example dont inhabitate Universal trash bin, but it's just not the same always who's brain it carried if you are serious about working with it...

Also, a stolen knife if only knife does't work well as gifted or gifted as stolen or the one that 7 brides carried under wedding dress... It is the case they take skulls freely from cremation grounds in India, it is not really appreciated neither a law is there against it. Also which familys member it was, did they notice skull missing on burial? Or didn't care. If you will ever use it eg. in practical spell it is not the same if someone cried over a missing head and other parts or didn't mind at all. Know what you get!

After all if you are purchasing a knife or wand, that would be a purchased thing that's it, more or less extreme to this or that energy. But if you are purchasing a skull which was residing at a head for a long time it makes you think.

Maybe you want a tibetan kapala for your altar, made of a real human skull. I would go and research about services and sellers you can get online or in local stores.

But the best service you can get from a monastery, I would research Himalayan countries and also Thailand and Indochina, also for similar items not only kapalas.

I used to have one that I purchased back in the 1980s from the mail-order catalog of The Occult Emporium, a business that was operated by a Jewish guy named Jay Solomon out of Allentown, Pennsylvania. Back then they were only about $100. It came from India, had been chemically sterilized and was pretty bleached looking - still had the delicate almost coral-like sinus membrane structures intact, and areas of brownish plaque at the gum-line on the teeth. One of the first things I did was to "antique" it using some dark-brown Olde English furniture polish, which soaked into the bone and turned the bleached white skull a more natural tan color.

Years later I sold it for a couple of hundred dollars on ebay. The man who purchased it was a biology instructor and he said that it had belonged to a female of the negroid race, so if it came from Idia as the catalog said, it may have belonged to a Dravidian.

I always wanted one of Alchemy Gothic's Lord Bryon skull chalices, which are sadly no longer available now that I could afford to purchase one:

After selling the real human skull that I used to own, I bought one of these resin models, which are quite decorative and affordable:

Quite a little OT, but since the witch hunt thread was closed I want to point it out here:

The "negro race" does not exist. The humans living today are all together "homo sapiens". "Race" is nowadays neither an anthropoligical nor a biological valid term, instead of "race" normally "subspecies" is used, but also this cannot be applied because the biological criteria aren't met.

Thank you Ramscha. [thumbup]

I will reopen that thread now, as I know there can be constructve discussion still to come out of it, despite how it started.

I hadn't posted here yet, but I did intend to, I was just a bit busy with other matters which had priority.

Times have changed but back in about 1976 I found a source from Louisiana where you could RENT a genuine human skull. I think it was $250, and you received back $200 if it was returned in tact. At twelve years old I really had no practical use for it but I used to dream of the elevation of my status if I had it in my possession, even temporarily [crazy]
