Can people really sell their souls to the devil?
Great! Beginners info! This is exactly what I needed.
I am new here and I’d like to obtain answers from the more experienced please. I only have two questions. Can people really sell their souls to the devil? I mean, does that really exist? And if so, how can I sell my soul?
Additional I info about my question.
I once found classified ads posted by black magic professionals who claim that for a fee they can do the ritual necessary to sell your soul to the devil. (those types of ads can be found in most newspapers in my country) But how do you know if the person is telling the truth or is just trying to take your money? So I called them and asked them if it really works and they say it’s 100 % guaranteed. But they only take cash in advance. So I asked if your ritual works why can’t I pay after I get all the money I from a pact with the devil. They got no answer for that question. Because of course it’s all a hoax to take your money. That’s what brought me here. I want to know if it (selling your soul) is really possible and how to do it.
Fearing being ripped off I had an idea. Why not try to contact the Man directly? I googled ‘how to summon Lucifer ‘ but my search resulted only fake and bogus instructions. I even tried to call his name in from of the mirror late night in a dark room. I also wrote a simple contract and saved it in my computer but of course he never showed up and nothing happened.
Am I doing it wrong? Is the devil ignoring me? Maybe not interested in my soul? I am desperate and lost.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Can people really sell their souls to the devil?
Hello MrBobWhite,
I hope that we will be able to offer you some solid and valid advice. There are a number of different perspectives on the Forum and I will give you my opinion.
I guess the first thing to think about is 'what is a soul?' Christians, and especially Catholics, tend to think of this as something you have and that you have to take to priest every so often to have it laundered by the Sacrament of Confession or Jesus will be mad when He comes to collect it at your death. Another way to look at this is that your 'soul' is what you are, it is your consciousness. That begs the deeper question, 'Who am I?' and could what I am really be bartered like junk on some cosmic E-Bay?
This notion of the Faustian Pact is fairly modern. In the real Medieval Grimoirs there was no such notion. To the Medieval and Renaissance Ceremonial magicians the dark powers were put at the service of the operator by virtue of the Divine. In Europe after the 30 Year's War when both Protestantism & Catholicism were exposed as whited sepulchers, literally, there was something of a psychic rupture and many began to turn away from what they understood as the higher positive powers. So, if God is out of business then maybe the Devil is still running his traveling circus; thus Satanism was born.
My advise is don't be a sucker of shyster black magicians we want to take your money or for criminal astral entities who want to eat your life force. You are the manifestation of the Divine who is the center of his own cosmos so connect with Divinity and balance the dark forces so they can work for you. Or, be a box lunch if that is what floats your boat.

Re: Can people really sell their souls to the devil?
Nah, the devil is simply the fear factor in Christianity. He's not even really an archetype, doesn't appear in most systems.
Re: Can people really sell their souls to the devil?
MrBobWhite - why would you want to do that? I'm sure there's a bunch of other things that can accomplish the same goal.
Is it possible? Absolutely!
Do I personally know people that have done it? Yes, I do. And each of them regrets it because what they got was not worth what they gave. Those contracts are tricky and full of loopholes. If it's not clear cut and simple you will end up fucked in the end.

I appreciate all the comments. BUT to be honestly I was expecting real instructions on how to proceed. Even hints would suffice. Thanks again

I hope that you find what makes you happy. Let us know how it turns out for you.

Re: Can people really sell their souls to the devil?
Eh, if you view the devil in a positive, liberating way you should be fine doing such a ritual. Usually in that case you would say "Satan" though... If you're coming at this from a Christian mindset I would definitely suggest against it, that stuff gets very deeply ingrained.
Re: Can people really sell their souls to the devil?
I read a ritual by Marcus T. Bottomley in his book Dark Rites and Encounters with the Devil. Apparently people call it "infamous number 4". It's actually titled "4. The Mud Pie Rite".
I'll give you the rite, because I doubt anything will happen (I'm just not one to put stock into something I haven't experienced) and because if something does happen, and you regret it, it's your own fault.
The first 3 parts are warnings about if you are afraid or against the "devil" don't do do this rite blah blah blah. Another says there is a grain of truth in the stories you've heard about people selling their soul for material wealth, specifically to the "devil" blah blah blah.
It does give one warning you should know about: if you undertake this ritual, you must go to the very end or else you won't succeed. And, according to Bottomley, a bunch of supernatural stuff goes on and you could get scared...but you must finish it.
I will be paraphrasing his words, but using the same format (as in step numbers).
1. (During the day, one day) Take a walk in the woods. Find a secluded spot with soft soil. Make sure you are secluded from the world there. Also make sure you can find your way back at night.
2. On the night of the rite, you should depart so you ARRIVE at the same place a little BEFORE midnight. You must bring some items with you to perform this:
a. A long sturdy knife (strong enough to dig into the ground).
b. A powerful torch or small lamp (or go by moonlight if it's bright)
c. A ball of red flannel cloth
d. A bottle of water.
3. So clear out any weeds or branches that will get in your way (on the ground). Start digging in the middle of this place. Take the soil that you've dug up and wet it with the water, and then shape it into a large pie (like the type of pie you eat...but don't spend too much time doing this or making it too big...just like a regular pie and get the shape somewhat close)
4. Take your ball of red flannel and begin to wrap the mud pie with the flannel until the entire outside is covered in red flannel. Then, with you knife, you begin to cut the pie in half. Bottomley goes on to say you may experience some eeiry things at this point such as a big black rooster who stairs at you, a big black cat, little impish forms, thundering of hooves, and lighting/thunder or even the sound of someone smashing ceramic plates. FINISH cutting the pie in half. I also imagine with all that red flannel, it might be hard to cut, so make sure your knife is sharp and able to cut through thick fabric.
5. So I guess anyone of these signs means that the devil (he says it will probably just be an agent of the devil) will appear. He might appear as a part goat thing. Or maybe just a big black man (I think Bottomley means black as in like a charred-black type color...not in the race). Bottomley warns you not to run, because nothing will be gained.
6. Bottomley says, at this point you should request what you will of the devil. Be bold. And the devil (his agent?) will tell you what to do/how to do it or how it will work. Or whatever. Doesn't say signing any contracts or anything.
I'm not telling you to do this, but if you want to do this, who am I to say no? I don't like the idea of hording knowledge (even though I doubt this is anymore than nonsense).
Seems easy enough. Doubt it will work. If magic truly works, I would doubt it is because you perform "actions" and these automatically give you magic.
But fuck, who am I to say?
Good luck. I'd like to know your results (or lack of).

Re: Can people really sell their souls to the devil?
Hey Skadi
Thanks for the reply. I found this rite online the other day. In a forum similar to this. On user said it worked but he lacked to provide more details so other users started to question him but he never replied back. Most users stated they tried this and nothing happened.
I am considering doing it. Just a try. The worst it can happen is that nothing happens. I feel I need to get to the bottom of this. I am sure now (almost sure, like 80% sure) pacts with satan exist. So the question is finding the right way.
I’ll keep posting

Re: Can people really sell their souls to the devil?
The main interest of devil is to manipulate/encourage people to do bad/evil deeds. Devil is a whisperer not a fighter. WE cant sell our soul because we don't own it. Why you want to sell your soul, if you don't mind telling?MrBobWhite wrote:Great! Beginners info! This is exactly what I needed.

Re: Can people really sell their souls to the devil?
I am perhaps too late to this thread to offer guidance, but if I'm not I would recommend that you follow the advice given by several others and don't bother... This is not a moral thing, we aren't here to tell you what is right and wrong (and you'll find that the people on this forum have vastly different opinions on that subject anyway) but rather, many of the people on this forum have been practicing in the occult for many years and are very experienced. If they suggest you would be unwise to do something, they probably have a very good reason for doing so.
Equally, if you aren't willing to put the time and effort into gaining occult power through the normal routes, then I imagine that you probably don't have the grit to deal with the consequences of making pacts with old nick. From the content of your posts thus far I assume that you see the devil in a christian sense and not in a satanic sense, in which case it is important to remember that you are quite literally trying to make a deal with an evil force which is crueler and more devious than every murderer and rapist throughout history combined. Think hard about that before trusting such a being to be good on their word...
This is the internet. None of us know you or your aims and we aren't going to tell you what to do (and you don't have to listen if we try to), but we will offer you advice where we can. Do what you like with your soul and I hope it works out well for you. However from your previous posts, I get the impression that you haven't put the amount of thought into this that would really be required if you were taking this seriously. I would advise you to think VERY long and hard about this before you go signing contracts in blood. Eternal slavery lasts a very long time...
^ I agree with the above emphatically. If you're willing to be patient and to work hard, then careful study and practice of the occult will more than likely reap whatever benefits you hope to gain by signing some sort of pact with any astral being. You don't need to sell your soul to achieve morally-questionable ends (you haven't stated what you hoped to gain from such a pact, but I can only assume that if selling your soul to the devil seems the easiest way of achieving your goal, then you probably aren't looking to cure world poverty...)RoseRed wrote:MrBobWhite - why would you want to do that? Perhaps we'll have a chance to hear what happens to him. We have from others on the Forum, some recently. Time will tell.

Re: Can people really sell their souls to the devil?
I guess if you believe strongly enough that there is a devil, this pact may let you escape your own limitations, of course there is no such thing.
Re: Can people really sell their souls to the devil?
I'll be honest, i havent read the entire post, but all i can say is that there are many "devils" and the fact that the "soul" is such an ambiguous term you'll lose out om amy deal made.
That is, unles you are lucky enough for a devil to say anything other than "*smirk* why'd I be interested in your soul".
By in large, a devil will not be interested in a human soul, they have bigger, albeit astral, fish to fry.
I strongly advise against any such action.
