Charging your Tarot deck

Post by Magician2685 »

Can someone please tell me how to charge a Tarot deck. I have read many books where they mention to touch the deck and call upon the angel Hru before doing a reading. What is the proper way to go about this and is there any other way? If one does White Magick, then iscalling upon the angel Hru the proper way to go about it? If one does Black Magick then can you call upon a dark entity to charge the deck? It would make sense to me that a Tarot reading would not be all that accurate if it is not charged as I have been told by some people. I have a huge passion for the Tarot and want to know every angle of the deck.

Magic(k) is defined by Old Al as "the art and science of causing Change to occur in conformity with Will"

If charging your deck makes you feel like your readings are more accurate or significant, then you have affected change. Good job, magician. The "proper" way to perform magic is personally tailoring it to work for you. Other people can offer advice, but only you know what works... for you.

That being said, I find that when I charge my deck it's easier to read the cards and they have deeper meanings. I believe this is because I'm boosting the level of intent by performing a charging ritual. If invoking an entity like HRV works for you... Well, it works for you. Take everything with a grain of salt. Remember that the GD isn't looking out for your self-interest, only you are, so take their teachings with a grain of salt.

I don't call on any angels. Tarot cards have their own voice. It's just that not everyone can hear it. That's what cold readings are for.
