Intuition as psychicism

Post by autodydact »

I've been thinking a lot recently about the ways in which we are guided by intuition. In the modern world it seems that intuition is frowned upon (try telling someone you've made a risky decision because it seemed right) in favour of critical reasoning: weighing up good and bad. But is intuition really that different from psychic experience? I would posit that they are in fact the same thing. I've been nurturing my intuition recently. Following my gut and seeing where it takes me. The result is that a conversation I started with two strangers on a park bench (an unthinkable faux pas in London) because my intuition told me they were interesting resulted in instantaneous friendship based upon similarities of ideas, interests and opinions. What makes this all the more unusual is that there is a thirty year age gap between me and these gentlemen. If I hadn't decided to go to that park (again, on a whim) at that time and spark up a conversation with two strangers (a very unusual thing for me to do) my life would now lack what looks to be fast becoming a mutually beneficial friendship and exchange of ideas, but also my new friends have various links in my field of study which could result in a variety of professional opportunities.

This is the most extreme example thus far. At the other end, I've narrowly avoided missing trains because my gut told me I didn't need a newspaper today and other relatively insignificant decisions which differ from my routine, but almost always result in a mild convenience or happy circumstance.

Intuition is part of psyionics.

It's a skill that can be worked on and strengthened simply by listening to it. While it's not something that can always be used on demand - I've found that my intuition never steers me wrong. When I listen to my gut - things work out the way they should - even if that 'should' isn't the conscious choice I would've made.

I would recommend a book by Wendy Palmer entitled: "The Intuitive Body: Aikido as a Clairsentient Practice." I'm certain you will be happy to have read it.
