Fun Stuff

Post by Xdmoqz »

I understand there are a few threads about this already, but after reading the first two I figured it'd be alright to post this separately... Also, it's been awhile since my days as a "philosopher" so please bear with me and my simplistic approach, lol

Reality is an infinite thing that we are only capable of viewing a limited amount of. An example of this would be flying, in ancient times it could be said that flying was impossible and yet in modern times flight is normal because of the airplane. This "shift" in reality is due to a change in our mindset on flying. This example provides us with the insight that anything considered impossible can be made possible through a "shift" in reality. This "shift" is by no means an easy feat to achieve, considering that it took plenty of years for the airplane to be invented despite the long held desire to fly. Yet, all it takes is someone willing to put in the effort and to inspire others to put in the same effort.
(Note: Flying as it pertains to humanity [tongue] )

Considering the airplane is more about affecting the macrocosm, I'd think that it is equally possible to affect your own microcosm in such a way (Seeing as affecting one is to affect the other [crazy] ) It only takes a little bit of understanding on the mechanics, meaning psychology and sociology, ect... Understanding your environment can give you a key to freely alter your reality at will. One day a homeless bum, the next a corporate CEO (Ok, maybe it would take longer than a day, lol...)

Anyway, back to the point. The mindset only allows us to view a fraction of the perspective, while the perspective only allows us to view a fraction of reality. Going back to the flying example, it is both possible and impossible. It is possible because this invention allows us to fly, and yet is impossible because we are incapable of flying without that invention. (Duality doesn't quite fit here, but it helps to understand the point.) -> The "Shift" is achieved by altering the mindset enough to alter the perspective on reality. Think of something impossible, consider it possible, then consider how it can be made possible, remember to use the mechanics of the system to unlock your "new" reality O0

That seems like enough for now, while not exactly flushed out the parts are still there if ya care enough to put it together for yourself, lol. :-*

Such progress, though,is often hampered by those who benefit most from things staying as they are.

Religious superstition, heirarchical power structures and economic imperialism have stifled our evolution and progress for far too long, that's changing now thankfully, but not fast enough for my liking. [eg]

Something worth noting too:

Today's magick is tomorow's science. [thumbup]
"He lived his words, spoke his own actions and his story and the story of the world ran parallel."

Sartre speaking of Che Guevara.

Rolling with Nahemah

If someone from 500 years ago would see my chainsaw I would get burned as a warlock or something [crymore]

I guess one of the most mentioned books about such practice would beP.J. Carrolls - Liber Null. It is worth a look if you haven't already read it.

bye bye

That's where our willpower comes into play as the main tool for causing something to happen, just as the opponents willpower is being used to keep things the same. We gotta overcome the aspects of ourselves that's willing against us, the aspects of life willing against us, and the aspects of society, ect...

I agree with this to an extent, in some ways those things have been beneficial to our evolution and progress. Without going into much detail it could best be described as "mistakes are life lessons." Learn from the mistake and move on, then we're good. Make a mistake repeatedly, then it becomes bad. lol. In other words, religious superstition is good motivation. Hierarchal power structures are signs of organization and growth, economic imperialism I don't entirely understand as the term is new to me, lol. But briefly reading it comes off as a method of causing cultural trends - Can be good in the way of recycling or other "charitable" things... Can maybe be used to inspire a generation of people willing to learn and grow as a person, ect...

I might have already read it, but no harm in reading up on something. If I have, then maybe learn something new I didn't see before. Thanks [happy]
