How effective is magic for altering personality traits?
For example - enhancing confidence, resilience, or something like that. Can that be a use for magick? More specifically I am looking at Chaos Magick for this purpose.
I can't see why it wouldn't work but I'd like to hear from someone who's actually had success in this area.
Cheers!

Of course it can. I can't speak in terms of chaos magic since that area isn't my specialty, but I did an experiment years ago invoking the energy of the sephiroth in their various forms (four worlds) and it worked very well. Take for example confidence. Invoking gerburah in assiah will give you a ton of confidence, probably to the point of being a cocky asshole, but it works lol

The qabalistic worlds can be tapped into by using the different color scales and the different names (heavens in assiah, angels, archangels and godnames). For example, to invoke geburah in assiah, you would visualize your aura filling with the colors of the sephiroth, red with black specks. Do a fire or mars pent or hex ritual and vibrate the heaven name of geburah (madim)

Is there a concordance spot you know of for this kind of stuff? I ask because apparently the tarot pips and meanings would be nothing to go by, otherwise this would be a bearer of material trouble. I'd love to know what the other 39 combinations result in.Frater_VP wrote:The qabalistic worlds can be tapped into by using the different color scales and the different names (heavens in assiah, angels, archangels and godnames). I'm not really able to think of an entire system that this would compliment entirely. I can say that Dion Fortune wrote about doing this sort of thing and I did find a book that explores all this in further detail. If you check out "kabbalah, magic and the great transformation" you'll find all that I've mentioned here, but the author goes far deeper than my experiments went.
