achieving results om different vains of magic
achieving results om different vains of magic
I am wondering peoples thoughts on if it is possible to learn and become adept at more then one type of magic While I haven't looked to deeply into any one type of magic I have looked at quite a few different types, i.e. ceremonial magic, chaos magic, angelic magic, shamanism, Babylonian magic and I am just wandering if other people have studied more then one branch of magic and what kind of results they have achieved.

Aleister Crowley mixed a heap of forms into one. If he isnt really your cup of tea i've heard hoodoo was a kind of mix between african shamanism and ceremonial magic from old school grimoires like greater and lesser keys and the like. I didnt think it was possible but I recently saw a correspondence of the kabbalistic tree of life with Nordic deities and Runes. "I was like Wah?????". I love runes and the northern mythology but I could never see the possibility of integration between the western magic system and the northern, so this was amazing for me.

A system can never be mastered completly as it splits up into to many ways which ultimatly leads to ones individual path. But of course it is possible to dive into several systems, many people undergo a change in paradigm through their own personal development and they evolve through those changes. [wink]

It is still you that performs the magic. Not the system.

Magic is. Different people approach it differently. Think of it like clay. The way you shape it and form it will be individual to you. It's usually called Eclecticism today. But not every system (of approach) works for everyone.
