Dream Walker?

Post by Tiaden »

This is the closest section I could figure this belonged in.

I use the term dream walker because that's the one which my mind attached to this entity, this experience.

Over the years I've had someone, a man, appear in my dreams. We have very little contact, usually no more than a couple of sentences exchanged, he just watches. He looks slightly different each time he pops up (it's been years between dreams) but I recognise his eyes. I know he's not from me, he's outside of the dream. I can feel it and I'm always aware when I'm dreaming and when I'm not. He walks into my dream, he's not something my mind has created.

He appeared again very recently, after close on a year without any sign of him. Something in the back of my mind convinced me to post about it here and see if anyone has any ideas, suggestions, etc to make on the experience.

Ideas about who he is and what he may want?

My instincts tell me that's he's a person, just like you and me, physical body, the whole deal. He's someone I've not had any physical contact with, someone I haven't met, this life anyway.

Hello Tiaden,

Welcome to the Forum.

Accepting that this phenomenon is coming from outside of your own psyche, there is still a very wide range of possibilities. If you have some more impressions it might help to narrow down what may be happening.

I'm not entirely sure what is, and isn't useful information to be entirely honest.

The dreams he's in are never unpleasant, they have elements of being chased and such but much less than most of my dreams.

I have the distinct impression that he's very much aware of me, who I am, his own presence within my dreams.

He just watches although I can't shake off a mild feeling of protectiveness as well, as though he's partly responsible for the less unpleasant reality of the dreams he's in.

I have the feeling that he knows what he's doing when he's conscious as well, it's not an unconscious action which he's unaware of.

The dreams he's in are usually the ones I have before I wake up for the day and stay with me more strongly than my usual dreams.

He's waiting for something, for me to realise something? For me to unlock some memory or understanding?

I've had lucid dreams with 'significant others' in it. Vagabonds of unqualified importance.

I usually assume they are friends and teachers who are not incarnated. I beleive I dreamed of my daughter years before she was conceived,... when she decided upon me as a suitable family... and in agreements to make significant changes to me... by ... proximity.

There are other theories too... of the Monad in a lesser sense. Um,... sorry to go here, but I'm here. The idea that we are slowly merging into 'the One'. In some theories there are group souls... parts of a higher united being. Much like the idea of multipersonality... but multiple people like you and me, may be aspects of a more united One,... which may be part of more united Ones. And such significant others could cause 'cross chat' and familiarity.

It could also be past life aquaintence meetings in the astral.

It could be just a dream with amped up body chemicals that make it seem significant.

It's ok if you assign significance to something without knowing if...
