Chaos Definition
So i saw here in the forum many people with many definitions of Chaos.
Some people believe that Chaos is the complete disorder, a place where there is no rules.
Others believe (including myself) that Chaos is one of the primal forces that exists since the start of everything, is the force that opposes Order, my personal belive here Order is matter and Chaos is the anti-matter in a more scientific way of speaking...
So, what is your personal believe?

Re: Chaos Definition
Chaos has so many definitions and can be used in so many contexts that I wouldn't use this word without paraphrasing it.
Re: Chaos Definition
If you can forgive a little joke here, find the Chaos definition really is something chaotic. [shh]
But this topic is more about personal beliefs, what is Chaos for you.

Re: Chaos Definition
I have no beliefs as such, for me it's just a symbol to express some concepts.
The first group ritual I took part was a Mass of Chaos B. Although it is an invocation of Baphomet, Chaos is an important part; I saw it as a kind of universal potential, free energy, creative disorder, source of becoming. These are interesting and inspiring concepts but nothing to "believe" in.

I present you thee, Lady Khaos.
I could nit-pick at the translations on that page a bit, since there are some very specific metaphysical and natural things being expressed here. But meh, I'll leave such things to your own meditations.

Re: Chaos Definition
I will make it very simple I think or better, "I try to imagine" chaos is everything beyond human comprehension or yet unknown. Even more simply spoken, it is the synonym for me summing up everything I (or in general humankind) cannot grasp with the approach of logic and mind or not yet (the cause of gravitation would be such a thing....). It would be every unknown variable, so to say.Hookko wrote:So i saw here in the forum many people with many definitions of Chaos.

Well, and using scientific words does not necessarily make it scientific, just saying
PS: My definition of chaos is not supposed to have any claim for absolut truth and undergoes continuing change and fine tuning [crazy]
bye bye
Re: Chaos Definition
Is not like I'm trying to find the real definition of Chaos or anything like that, i just want to know, how people interpret it personally.

Re: Chaos Definition
I don't beleive in chaos as a force, only as a concept.
I think there is order to everything and choas is a label used for that which is not understood.
Outside of the universal definition, I think chaos just means confusion or misunderstanding... which often leads to fear. And, of course, for some reason, things that we fear are often admired... even worshiped.

Ah, but what if chaos is part of the order? [wink]manofsands wrote:I think there is order to everything

Re: Chaos Definition
I think Chaos is the stage after the amputation of the material universe, and also what existed before its emergence. Chaos isn't exactly an essence, but a stage of existence in which cognition does not exist.

Re: Chaos Definition
It's hard saying what is before or after. I think its just as easy to label that ' the nothing' or 'the vacuum' or 'the void'.... I think chaos needs organization as a reference.Shamash wrote:I think Chaos is the stage after the amputation of the material universe, and also what existed before its emergence. Re: Chaos Definition
I tend to think of Chaos as a separate term from the void, but rather the phase when the void (or God) becomes the only thing in existence, free from the restriction and fragmentation of the physical form.
