Ritual of Baphomet, what happens? Or could?

Post by malachite »

Can anyone tell me, once this ritual is done....

...what could happen, or what happens? Perhaps my English is too simple to understand the sum of all. It talks about kindling the Inner black flame.

Hope someone can tell me in a not too difficult story.

Well, the ritual is kind of nonsense but that's not that big a problem. It's stupid that they put a huge warning because that creates psychological hesitation and will affect the ritual on some level. I mean, nothing will really happen external of the mind, that's not how things like evocation work. It's a symbolic idea used for boosting magickal abilities. If you're hesitant though don't do it, you could convince yourself of something bad happening you because of it and then it would just be negative and counter productive. You should always just make your own rituals.

Thanks so far. But what if one should convince himself of good things happening then?

In theory it would be beneficial in this case. Something could go wrong at a subconscious level but that line of thought takes us down kind of a fuzzy line between psychology and pseudopsychology. Belief is key in occultism because occultism is a psychological practice rather than a supernatural one.
