Magick and Psychedelics.

Post by Haelos »

I know this road has been traversed a million times over, but today, I am not here to debate. Merely to share a story.

We've all heard the stories about hallucinogenic drugs, and their effects on the mind and consciousness.
I don't wish to debate the legitimacy of this, nor do I wish to discuss the moral boundaries of these drugs.
We all have our own opinions.

However, I can admit, they share a direct influence on magick. To what extent, I am unsure, however.

My story, a short one..
My mate and I enjoy the occasional LSD experience. It has solidified or relationship beyond any conceivable belief. In fact, it was a lot of what made my occult studies more serious. I'd always dabbled in the learning, but never actually practiced.

In one of our later trips, after a decent time of study and practice in the arts, I decided to try an experiment.

My sober roomate and my mate were outside the room conversing, so I knew I had to make it quick. I began as I had learned, simply enough, with the basic Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram.

I was miles from the peak of my experience, mine you. Only about 45 minutes after ingestion, a good hour minimum from the most intense visuals. Three or so hours on average.
After quietly vibration the god-names, as to not cause enough noise to be heard from outside the room, my surroundings became flush with white light.
I was quickly overwhelmed with one of the happiest joy-feelings in my life. I became quite giggly.

Moving on to the Qabbalistic Cross, I felt my entire body surge with energy unlike any I'd felt performing the ritual before, or since.
Finishing on "Le Olam, Amen," sigils and glyphs began to appear in the mist of the white light.
Some I could distinguish, most I could not. I understood what every symbol and picture was, although I do not truly hold the information reagarding them.
As if to say, I know what they are, but I don't. However, after receiving new information of many new symbols and glyphs, I have almost instantly comprehended them, and understood that they too came from the vision during the rituals.

Suddenly, I was interrupted by the sound of approaching footsteps. I did my best to close the circle as quickly as possible, but I'm sure residual energy was left hanging about the air.
My companions entered the room, disrupting any magick that was to take place.

But in that short moment, a trigger switched in my mind. I understood the connection, and suddenly so many things seemed to make sense.

Since that first experience with magick on LSD, any opportunity I got I would use my mind to effect the visuals I was seeing because of the drug, and hence alter my reality even easier.

Many, many crazy experiences of the esoteric nature followed later trips, and I have not had an experience with LSD since the past two most intense psychedelic experiences I have witnessed.

If anyone wishes for these two trip stories,I beg that you first share a story of your own.

Hello fellow Psychonaut :)
Kool thread.

Did you experience any 'shaking of the earth' while vibrating these names?

As if to say, I know what they are, but I don't.
SO familiar :p

But in that short moment, a trigger switched in my mind. I understood the connection, and suddenly so many things seemed to make sense.
This is why I enjoy Mushroom Ceremonies. They force our ego to submit to Wonder and Experience reality. I've never tried LSD, but I've heard that there isn't the same feeling of submission.

The last ceremony I took part in was when the New Moon was in Leo this July. We turned out the lights, ingested Magic Truffles and waited. Three days prior to the ceremony my friends and I were talking occult philosophy, and laying on my small cot it was all I could to to push it out of my mind and stay focused on my intention for the ceremony (to be shown what I needed to see).

Thirty minutes in I started to feel the effects, started seeing the Grid, and hearing the spiders crawling around the rafters. The Six of us became linked together per the nature of Mushrooms. They're a communal species, and we learned this by telepathically communicating with one another. I know it's true because one of us, instead of talking with just his mind, also voiced his thoughts, and they were in line with our conversation.

Then the programming started. We made a map of the Universe and all it contained. Everyone shared their knowledge and understanding until we had quite a grand structure. This was really the main event, and afterwards we all parted into our own little macrocosms to see what we needed to see. I met Medusa in space, and at the end I came to understand the necessity and importance, as well as some of the qualities, of the alchemical Athanor.

So, for what it's worth, that was my last psychonautic adventure. :)

hi so this seems to be a hot topic today i have a lot of trip stories but there is one in particular that relates to the symbols you described seeing. i have never thought of it as uncommon to see symbols on walls even floating around this experiance in particular i feel like telling because i felt compelled to try to copy the symbols and images especially the images i saw on the walls i saw them on. now i knew nothing of glyphs or sigil at the time i was a junior in highschool and went camping with a few friends at a place we call the shire. its a concrete foundation conveniently located in the middle of no where in some local woods. i ate a lot of shrooms im gonna guess well over a quarter of an ounce over the course of the night but we started around four in the afternoon and we went walking through the woods just enjoying the trip and the wonder of nature around us. one of my friends thought it was a good idea to climb a tree she was probably 10 to 12 feet up and i watched as she looked down and i could still see her in the tree but i could also see her jumping out she landed wrong and broke her arm i envisioned the resulting 911 call since we hadn't taken our own cars and no sooner had the hallucination passed when i looked up and she was actually preparing to jump from the tree so i ran to where she landed in my brief vision and she landed on top of me safely. crisis adverted. later when i got dark we had gone back to the shire and had a fire going and i distinctly remember laying on my back and looking up at the sky the foundation is surrounded by cedar trees and they create a beautiful canopy. the tree shots towards the star filled sky and when they touched it there was a flash of light and i found the whole situation to be hilarious and laughed for a solid half hour when i got up and looked around the walls of the foundation were covered in symbols and images of creatures it was mesmerizing. i tried to explain what i was seeing to my friends but they weren't on my level so i took charcoal from the fire and began drawing as many of the things i was seeing as i could before they changed when i was finished with a drawing i would fall back hit the ground and start all over again from the trees touching the stars the laughing and so on. but that's my story and idk if thats what your looking for but it there were a lot of other details i remember but to explain everything that happened that night would probably result in a short novella

I didn't let this die, I'm going to share another story here, but it will take a while for me to get it right before I submit it.
If you wait patiently, I can assure that my tales will be at least moderately intriguing.

First of all, congradulations.

Secondly, a warning.

I have a soft heart for individuals who have these experiences, therefore I feel like I must write this. Take it as you will.

During these psychedelic experiences its very important to keep in mind the nature of reality. The fibonacci fractal that is the underlying code of nature, the universe, and our experience of reality itself.

The only thing that precedes this principal is time.

However, the nature of the sequence and the holographic nature of the fractals allows us to connect the dots in our experiences (see the patterns). However, reality allows for all potentials to exist simultaneously and when we are under the influence we can evoke any potential we desire. This gives us the ability to essentially choose our enlightenment. Or choose our death.

One man's jesus is another man's pauper. Both perspectives are very real and very true.
Choose your patterns carefully and be open to patterns that challenge your beliefs.

Also, beware when your perspective, your patterns, conflict with others. Especially when they are under the influence with you.

I would love to hear more of the fibanaci fractal.

I think it would be better in a thread of it's own, if you'd be so kind as to start one.
