Is it a dream or psychic/astral attack

Just a lilttle background, i have been meditating and stuff forbthe past 5 years but have only just recently got into ceremonial magick via the lbrp and the middle pillar even more recently. Can't remember everything but here is what happened


Late night sleep with no rituals performed just element earth homework. Started seeing various things in the room, I guess this was when I fell asleep. Had various dreams with some of them being lucid.

One dream was me in my room seeing various wierd things in my room which if I were awake would think of as astral debris or the 'little nasties' Donald Michael Kraig refers to. So i kinda became lucid, thinking I may be dreaming as I should not be that advanced yet.

I tried to do a reality test but the reliable one I could think of is reading something for a while. The dark room in the dream unfortunately didn't allow this but I was still sure I wasn't awake.

So I attempted to use this to project out of my body by simply floating out of my body or thinking of a place in astral but besides a bit a movement up and down didn't happen.

I felt like something was holding me down from behind. Sounded like a young woman. Couldn't escape her clutches. It then pressed a finger right on the bridge of my nose creepily hard. So hard I eventually woke up feeling a little wierd like that shit was real.

So this is the second time I have had this sort of dream or whatever in a week but the first one was less physical with a small boy as the protagonist. In at dream I thought my subconscious was possibly trying to send me a message but the physical nature of this dream has shocked me.

How real that finger felt, and to be honest that area felt uncomfortable on awakening but maybe its the fear talking any thoughts

How familiar are you with your anima?

This doesn't seem like an attack. Perhaps a warning or a clue maybe, but not an attack.

Not very familiar with that, have only come across the term briefly in my first year psych module, its something about the female side of our personality Jung believed we all had both a male and female side. He thought it important that males cultivate their anima or female side right?

Backwards possibly, but yeah.

I understood the anima to be your female archetype while the animus is the male.

Either way, I mentioned it because it was a female preventing you from doing what you wanted to. If you're not familiar with your own anima I recommend you explore it.

Any resources or links you recommend? Last week I had a near identical experience with some furry giant ape holding me back maybe male (but you can't tell with animals) , my guess was a yeti since my feet couldn't touch the ground. Though the fur did look fake as if someone was wearing a costume.

In a dream following that on the same night I had an encounter with a small kid, I thought I was going schizo as I was now seeing things in my dreams and having conversations with them. Since I live in an apartment I was worried the neighbours would hear me talking with this imaginary figure.

I remember thinking oh crap I have finally lost it so was relieved to realize it was a dream although equally creeped out when I woke up that night as I was earlier.
