First time, I think?

Post by wandering »

Hi. I came to register to this site and it said I was already registered with the exact name that I tried registering with. Anyway Im in. Hi, I was drawn here but don't practice anything specifically. I have an interest in Shinto practises, Germanic deities, and shamanism. Shinto only really because of my unexplained interest in Japan. I went from deeply depressed and and disturbed to having purpose in my life, that purpose being learning the language and making the move there. Shinto just seemed like something interesting to learn about. Germanic deities because part of my ancestry can be traced back to Denmark and I feel some sort of obligation to learn about this as I'm guessing at some point in my family tree they would have worshiped them. Shamanism because the energy I get from it when pondering and reading and listening about shamanism is that maybe I've been a shaman before in a past life or something. To think of myself as a shaman seems really natural despite having never studied or practiced it in depth. I spent a time trying to develop myself spiritually. I was pretty messed up mentally at the time and even though I had some really promising results I gave up in the end. I have the same urges to develop myself but I'm in a much better place mentally.

Anyway, I've come to ask for guidance on a specific topic so I'll go find the relevant board but cheers, can't say I'll stick around, depends how these next few months go in my life. I feel Ive found my calling and its not immersion in the occult but I don't want to be completely ignorant on these matters either so Ill pop back from time to time I am sure.

You should probably look into the book of Jan Fries. He is a german shaman who mixes his studies with a lot of asian nature-religions.
