Dreams tapping kama loca or lower astral?

Over the course of the last year (well, almost a year now) I've been writing down my dreams and have taken note of certain patterns within the memorable ones. While they often tend abstract they contain certain consistencies.

I had a small flood of them last night that I've only noticed having maybe twice or three times in the past year - ie. not only super-vivid but of a variety where I feel like rather than the world of my dream being so oriented within my own energies that I feel like I own it as if it were my own movie (which is how most dreams, in sort of an automatic sense, tend to feel) I actually felt like I was pulled into someone else's emotional sphere - a bit like, say, Jennifer Lopez in The Cell pulling the schizophrenic guy into her own subjective world. It makes me wonder just what kind of dream that was in terms of metaphysical/esoteric realities.

That made me wonder, in dreams are we as a general rule playing around in kama loca, lover devashan, or lowere astral? What kinds of sign posts and mile markers do some of you experience when, on later evaluation, you can just tell that you crossed into one type of inner world experience and into another?
