Areas of Expertise

Post by Clockwork Ghost »

I saw this on another forum I frequent, and thought it was a really cool idea. It helps people to know who to ask questions of, if they have a question concerning a specific field. Thought we might be able to use it.

Everyone who posts regularly to the forum and who feels confident in specific subjects or paradigms, please send me a PM with those subjects/paradigms and I'll add you to the list.

Please note that this isn't intended to act as an exclusive list of occult knowledge, and members not on the list should also be consulted if you feel more comfortable discussing matters with them. This list is more like a telephone directory than an honour board :) .

Is it cool to pm and nominate others as well?

I don't think others should be nominated, as it's a matter for the individual member to decide on, as to whether they wish to put themself forward as an expert.

And, with that in mind, as it's self reference regarding expertise, it shouldn't be taken as read by any members, that those who post here regarding their own expertise are the only members posting on this forum who can answer questions knowledgably on any particular subjects.

I have changed the wording of the original post to ensure that nobody confuses it's intention.

This thread is a good idea. I actually just joined this site to get advice so I find this to be excellent.

I wanted to ask if anyone could tell me about the mistakes they've made, or others have, in manifesting outcomes from stuff they have written. You know, every now and again you come across someone who has something like a diary that whatever they write in it happens. I'd really like to make something like that and to know how to empower it. Stuff like that, like how to truly draw power from any given place.

If we all collect our experiences I'm sure something like this can be done. I ask for mistakes to be shared, as well as methods, so I know what to avoid. Doing that and developing real clairvoyance are my goals. If anyone has any advice, please share it with me. The number of people doesn't matter, even if it's just two of us. I'll help where I can too.

Thanks for reading.

You may wish to check out the thread 'Your Biggest Mistakes/Failures while doing Magic?'. I have attached a link to it below. The thread doesn't contain anything specific in regards to manifesting outcomes from through diary entries (yet [grin] ), but does include a lot of similar material, and is sort of like a 'blooper reel' of ritual practice.

Just so you know, you may wish to post an introduction on the Introductions and Departures board. Feel free to tell everyone about yourself and any areas of the occult that particularly interest you. [thumbup]

It was much more helpful when you did it - at least you had a whole bunch of people buy in to it. For some reason, nobody here wants to say what they are specifically good at. [tongue]

I volunteered to make a few tutorials/study groups on basic angel magick and spirit keeping in the other thread, but I wouldn't deem myself an "expert" at anything yet, I just know the main points (hence the word basic).
