I am having a small issue with flash embeds on this site. I don't have flash, don't want. I'm on linux and flash is depricated for it.
So with the flash embeds (like for movies or music) all I see is grey boxes. I can't click on a simple link to go to youtube.
Does anybody know of a plugin that fixes this? I tried this https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... all-html5/ but it doesn't work (I'm having trouble finding the dependencies on debian jessie)
I also tried copying the element with inspect element with inner html but I think it just tries to download the embed as an embed flash file which is useless.
PS: just confirmed it does it in chromium to. I use iceweasel / firefox.

I use linux too, I had similar problem. HTML5 video doesn't help because of .h8something codec, which is not included with linux. It have me headaches. Solution? Reinstallation. I'm sorry I don't know anything else.

I think i found the problem and it's not good:
http://ffmpeg.org/
There must be a way just to show a simple text link either with a forum module or a browser plugin. The stupid thing is according to the link it's still supposed to work in chromium but it does the same thing!

It looks like it will not be fixed until after Jessie (missing ffmpeg)... which is 1-2 years from now. A big thank-you to Andreas Cadhalpun and all the people that made it possible. It has been anything but simple.
Unfortunately that was already the easy part of this news. The bad news is the packages probably won't migrate to Debian testing to be in the upcoming release codenamed jessie. Read the argumentation over at Debian. https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugrepo ... bug=763148
