Hello from the JoyofSatan
Hello from the JoyofSatan
Hello everyone. I am new to this site. I would like to interact with people in the occult. I have been a JoS member for a while now. People are always bashing the JoS. It's actually not that bad. To be more accurate, the JoS is not bad at all. I would like to discuss these matters if I am welcome to. If you are unfamiliar with the JoS, here is the link. JoyofSatan.org
Re: Hello from the JoyofSatan
Welcome to the forum!
I hope you stay and enjoy/contribute to the forums. Its always great to see new people.
However, cannot lie Joy of Satan is anything other than terrible.
Any site where members talk about how jews are going to put americans in concentration camps is not worth my or anybodies time.
Feel free to make a thread on it, but I guarantee you it won't be pretty. We've had to sort out numerous ex members of JoS, even in my short time here.

As Nahemah said, please use the report button if they begin with the hate speech (which isn't allowed by forum rules because of host laws in the UK) if we don't notice it right away (its a big forum). Or send us a PM with the link to the offending thread.Nahemah wrote:Hello.

Re: Hello from the JoyofSatan
it is going to be hard to comply with forum rules. Thanks for making me aware of that. This should be a big sign as to who is running the show. We are not even allowed to talk about it. I will have to keep it strictly occult related. I will maybe start a thread tomorrow. Thanks for welcoming me to your forum.

Welcome!
Which is common sense, really, since this is a public forum representing a broad range of views. Respect and tolerance is necessery.cyberdemon wrote:You're completely welcome to expose your thoughts, experiences and views, however you cannot promote or encourage any discriminatory practices of any sort.
Re: Hello from the JoyofSatan
If someone could point me in the right direction as to where a thread about the JoyofSatan would belong, that would be nice.
To understand the Nazis, one would have to learn about the Holocaust and also the communist USSR.
As for hate, in the occult, hate is natural and there should not be a problem with hating your enemies.
Just for clarification, I am not ex JoS. I still belong to the JoS and I never intend to leave.

Re: Hello from the JoyofSatan
How do you know if I am right or wrong in my beliefs. From my point of view, I am right. I have no reason to believe I am wrong. If you would please bring those points to my attention as to why I am wrong in my beliefs, I will quit being a JoS Spiritual Satanist today. But you and I both know that there is nothing you can say to make me give up my beliefs. This is why I am here to speak about the JoyofSatan on this forum. They are right.
Now if someone knows the appropriate placement for a JoyofSatan thread, I will be on my way over there and out of here.

"People are stupid. They will believe any lie either because they want it to be true, or they fear it already is." In a later book, it is stated: "There is no defense against this, and even the greatest wizard must be vigilant against lies himself."
I like this rule, because even though it is from a fantasy novel it states a fundamental Truth about people, society, and reality in general. You see, in the real world, belief is irrelevant. It doesn't matter what you believe, or what anyone else believes, or how passionate any of you are about those beliefs. Somewhere in the middle of all that BS, there is a Truth. And the Truth doesn't give a damn what anyone believes, because it simply is.
Are you sure you know Truth, pwnzer?

Re: Hello from the JoyofSatan
Shinichi, Yep. I'm 100% positive. This is the real deal. I was skeptical at first. I tried the meditations and I was knew this was it. I read as much as I could and everything was right. They always tell it how it is. They don't care about anyone's feelings. Only the truth. A question to you would be, How do you know if JoS is real or not if you haven't tried it? If you did try it, why did you stop?
Sypheara, "Any site where members talk about how jews are going to put americans in concentration camps is not worth my or anybodies time." Who said that? I live in America and this topic worries me and if someone had that knowledge, it would be a nice thing to know.

Re: Hello from the JoyofSatan
Their meditations work (at least, they induce a tangible effect, exactly how far they would take someone magically and how safe they are is another question) because they took a mashup of Hindu tantric practices and western hermetic techniques from other sources (all of it uncredited) and altered some of the methodology to fit it into their worldview (a worldview which is entirely incompatible with the worldview on which these practices were originally based). I could give you all sorts of meditative techniques I've been taught or come across in books and then also teach you a bizarre worldview I put together, and the fact that the meditations work wouldn't validate the worldview I concocted.
Worth thinking about.
Worth thinking about.

Re: Hello from the JoyofSatan
Rin, Well ya, the meditations have to come from somewhere, except there are some meditations that are strictly from them. I'm actually typing on two threads going back and forth in the off topic section and here. The meditations are actually watered down on purpose so they are safe. You are supposed to go slow and work up to more powerful meditations. The meditations and worldview together are very important. The JoyofSatan meditations are good and all but without the world view, there is no motivation or urgency. There is no goal. We are here to fight. That is the whole purpose. The meditations are there so we can empower our selves and the world view is there so we can use our empowered souls to fight an enemy who has been using this spiritual power against us this entire time with no spiritual opposition and the enemy is pushing their worldview at the same time with magick of course. Edit, We have been defenseless until the JoyofSatan came along.
Re: Hello from the JoyofSatan
Ah, but it is this absolute certainty which calls into question the subject itself.pwnzer wrote:Shinichi, Yep. I'm 100% positive.
Plato wrote that there are four Levels of Awareness, or Knowledge, depending on translation. Without getting into the deeper mystical meaning of this, the Levels of Awareness are essentially a measure of an individuals relationship with a Truth and Reality.
The first and lowest level is Eikasia, which is often translated as Illusion or Imagination. This essentially means that you don't know that you don't know something. I like to call this "Ignorant Ignorance," because it means you are ignorant of being ignorant. You are either so certain of something, or so far out of the loop, that you become trapped in the Illusions of your own ideas, your own Imagination. Truth completely eludes you, and you don't even know it.
The second level is Pistis, which is Belief, or to have Confidence in an opinion. This means that you have considered ignorance, moved past that, and latched on to an idea that you believe is True. But, you have to remember the quote from my last post. People will Believe anything, and to Believe in something does not make it True. This means that to Believe in something, you are still trapped in the Illusion, in your Imagination. Your Belief may have Truth to it, but only Believing in it is still a lower form of Awareness.
The third level is Dianoia, which is Discursive Thought or Deductive Reasoning, depending on how you articulate the concept. This means that you have moved beyond being trapped in your own Imagination, beyond even being trapped in your own Beliefs, and you have instead moved up to something along the lines of The Scientific Method. You understand that Truth is something beyond the illusions of individual perception, subjective belief and opinion, and you now seek Truth through experimentation and experience. You begin to question everything, and use Reason instead of Passion when approaching a concept or subject.
The fourth and highest Level of Awareness is Neosis, which is indeed a difficult thing to explain, as it is very much a mystic concept. This is often translated as Intuition, or Understanding, and is considered the Awareness of Reality Itself. The direct experience of it, as per the Allegory of The Cave. You are no longer a citizen of the Cave: upon achieving Neosis, you have stepped out of the Cave and you can experience the world as it really is.
And so you may liken the above to something like this:
1) Ignorant Ignorance. Thus, you do not even know that you need to learn the Truth.
2) Ignorance. Thus, although you may believe you have the Truth, it still eludes you.
3) Knowing You Are Ignorant. Thus, you may question everything, and seek the Truth through Reason.
4) Experiencing Truth. Thus, you have bypassed perception altogether, and you have become Truth.
For the record, the point of all that is to state, quite simply, this:
Anyone, who is 100% certain of anything, is Ignorant. Those who have achieved Dianoia or Neosis understand the folly of such certainty. Even the greatest Sage must remain vigilant, for there is more than one Truth, and to be absolutely Certain of your own perception of one is to be Ignorantly Ignorant of all others.
The best lies are those which have just the right amount of truth mixed in.pwnzer wrote:This is the real deal. I was skeptical at first. I tried the meditations and I was knew this was it. I read as much as I could and everything was right.
Speaking both as a Gentleman and even as someone who can be rather sadistic, I don't see how that is a good thing.pwnzer wrote:They don't care about anyone's feelings.
I came upon JoS during my first year of studying occult related things, during my "Satanist Phase," as I affectionately call it. I knew immediately the falsehood of the website, and in the eight years I have studied and practice since then, I can list in detail (and will in your other thread, if you would like) the falsehoods and dangers written in many of their "meditations." The entire system of practice on JoS is nothing more than bastardized plagiarism of both very old legitimate and silly new age metaphysical exercises wrapped up in a twisted ideology that does little more than show a hell of a lot of ignorance towards the history and workings of both Christianity and the Daoist, Hermetic, Vedic, and New Age philosophies from which they stole many of the practices offered in their "meditation" section.pwnzer wrote:A question to you would be, How do you know if JoS is real or not if you haven't tried it? If you did try it, why did you stop?
I can assure you, as someone who has practiced the original forms of many of the JoS "meditations," what is posted on that website is weak. Even the "advanced" meditations, which are not only weakened in many places, but also so twisted as to be dangerous. They are weak because the material is incomplete and flawed, which is what happens when you take things out of context and twist them to fit your own agendas.
I assure you, that is very untrue.pwnzer wrote:We have been defenseless until the JoyofSatan came along.
