Can Occult be as Solid as Science?
Re: Can Occult be as Solid as Science?
Without the basic groundwork and foundation in place, I can understand why you're getting frustrated.
What you are asking is not a simple question with a simple answer.
There are many possible answers to your question. This is why there are so many questions from other members.

This video provides an excellent discussion of science by a prominent scientist on TED. It is logical and very well thought out and supports my case very well. Atzmuth, I especially invite you to watch and learn from this. It's also very enjoyable.

Why it is a banned talk? In the title it says Banned TED talk. Why?
There is no Lucifer to folow, no God to obey
There is no Hell for punishment, no Heaven for reward
There are no Demons to fear, no Angels to listen
There is you and your fate
Wake up Alice
You are in Truthland.

It does not conform to the current scientific standards.
Re: Can Occult be as Solid as Science?
A good analogy always helps with what is "unknown"
Scientist claim dogs can only observe colors on the yellow and blue spectrum. Now, we know more exist because we ourselves can observe many more shades of color. From a dogs point of view, yellow and blue is all that exist.
Colors themselves are subjective. We agree upon what is "red" or "blue" yet have no method to prove other people see them exactly as we do.
Scientist also claim colors exist which humans can't comprehend. Its generally an agreed fact they exist. Many who experience NDEs or trip on hallucinogenic drugs claim to be able to see some of these colors.
Like color, the occult deals with subjective phenomena. Inherently its based on common sense, not the scientific method. Occultist can deduct something is "red" because of experiencing it themselves, deducing common variables and so fourth.

From AllSpace came what was allowed through the veil as predestined for paradise. With it came faithmagic, if you have faith in something it manifests.
Re: Can Occult be as Solid as Science?
There was a time when the scientific pursuit was embedded in occult studies. Look up Isaac Newton. There are quite a few scientists who are well-versed in esoteric/occult teachings and you can find many names today if you look on the margin of the mainstream community.
It comes down to whether or not you believe that science - as a method to acquire knowledge about the natural world - does explain everything that there is to know. The occultist thinks that there is more at play in this great mystery that is the Universe, conciousness and life that either science doesn't know or simply fail to acknowledge because it doesn't fit with it's mainstream community's worldview.

More to the current scientific paradigm, which is materialism.EternalReturn wrote:It does not conform to the current scientific standards.

Re: Can Occult be as Solid as Science?
the answer is simple, it's the people that are messed up not the occult.
mostly dumb people go after occult and it is screwed up.
just like when dumb people go after chemistry and consider the matters are created of fire, air, earth and water!
there may be some unknown elements in the occult but they are definitely not the earth that you stand on, not the water that you drink, not the fire that burns and not the air that you breath [crazy].
that's how believing works. it takes the solidity away. experimenting is important.
discovering requires effort and experiment. not believing.
i am researching on occult with experimenting. but i am not many.
you can also consider it the consequences of burning witches and their books to prevent the knowledge from evolving.
you may have religion for your self, no body cares.
but when some one tries to turn people with force, this is what happens.
