Read before you comment. The title is misleading.
A while ago I stopped doing any heavy banishment or cleansing work on my household, and several neutral or kind spirits have moved in within that time. They don't cause any ruckus, and they're always well mannered.
I only have one real problem.
The damn random flashes of "light".
Constantly, just out of my focus: FLASH FLASH FLASH, all sorts of freaking movement that gets my attention, interrupting everything I'm doing.
How do I stop focusing on these things? I don't mind any entities being around, but I'm sick of my attention being dropped every time I manage to see one physically.
I've never been all that gifted with the sight, but my skills have been increasing steadily, so this is a -generally-new experience for me, and I'm just trying to get some grip on it before I just kick everyone out for being annoying.
Any assistance or insight would be highly appreciated.
Should I attempt to focus more on them? It's kinda hard to simply *not* focus when I see a flash, as it's usually quick enough that I have no time for mental reaction, other than the jolt to watch it, or it's slow enough that I simply decide watch it go about its business for second before returning to my task at hand, so I can observe it.
It's such a minor nuisance and niche issue, I really couldn't even begin to know where to find "help" with this.
EDIT: Before it's commented, I have confirmed that at least a couple of these flashes were spirits of some sort, by communicating with them, and I know to a mid degree of certainty that I have no mental illness that would cause such issues to arise. I'm perfectly integrated into society (though anti-social) and other than a little bit of debatable psychopathy, nothing from my own brain could be causing these flashes.

Try communicating with them, ask them to stop the flashing.
The only other thing I can think of is visualization exercises to strengthen your focus.

Make nice with your house spirits. Life's a bitch when they're mad at you. Ignoring them makes them mad.
Sounds like it's time to set some boundaries and shields. You shouldn't have to consciously think about protecting your home, self and family. These are long time, ever changing to the circumstances Workings that run in the background with their own power sources.
Do you want to turn your home into a flop house for the dead and never-human? Seriously, do you?
