Why Does My Mind Talk to Me (Not a Joke)?

I feel like a total freak. After I started practising exercises to open up my spiritual abilities I feel my mind has split up. It basically talks to me- comforting me and giving me advice. In addition, whenever I work with spirits I receive thoughts and ideas that can be considered as their message and guidance, they are usually accurate. Did any of you here experience such things or am I going mad?

You're probably not going mad, however there are few things to take into consideration when you start hearing voices.

I'm extremely simplifying here, but in a nutshell as long as what they're saying to you isn't projected toward inflicting harm on other people or yourself, I'd say you're not going crazy.

When these things started happening to me I thought I'm going insane, that's it, I've started talking to animal spirits and I'm actually listening to them, there's no way someone 'normal' would ever do this blablabla. That's just logical reasoning, and it's good that you're questioning yourself. Keep doing that and you're likely to avoid big mistakes on your path.

Just keep calm, keep working on your path and try to keep those advises, messages and ideas in balance with your everyday life (avoid extremes). I would also add my personal advice; don't talk about this to people you know unless you can really, really trust them.

It would also be wise to avoid excessive, or even better, any consumption of alcohol and drugs during this period. Keep up. [thumbup]

If it helps, give your mind a name and treat him/her like your imaginary friend. Just watch out for the blanks when you two talk..

If you want to look at it psychologically, you could say it's just your super-ego or conscience. I disagree with naming it something and having conversations with it, but that's because I like to perceive my mind as a Unity. I would look at it as my subconscious becoming conscious.

It will help quite a bit to do some mental silence meditations. Shinichi wrote a pretty good essay about fundamental practices, somewhere on these forums.

I am no expert,
But...
Here is my opinion - nonetheless:

The more things start making sense to you,
The more powerful your subconscious becomes.

Sometimes an alternate personality develops.

And this is nothing to be worried about,
At first - I did not think that would happen to me,
But it did,
Somehow.

Ever since I have came to this forum,
My mind and heart - grew smarter,
And thus - so did my subconscious.

I hope I am making sense here.

Nikola Telsa's brain/mind had somehow learned how to "augment" his "dreamality" unto his "reality",
Allowing him to become powerful through the power of imagination, math, art and technology.

Most schizophrenics do not realize that they are not crazy,
But super human,
For some strange reason - the environment of fear and pain is molded by the powers that be,
And through that - where people with the ability of schizophrenia are called "insane" - by spiritually underdeveloped minds; Came the mental institutions where all these potentials go - to be locked away - never to be let free and nor educated.

The government fears people with these powers,
Because if those amazing people would just wake up from this nightmare,
They would realize that they can become "LUCiD",
And once lucidity has been achieved,
Next comes powerful and enlightening realizations.

If one can learn to control what doctors call: "schizophrenia",
Than you are practically set for life,
You could make money off that to help pay for charity,
And also help make machines needed by medical fields,
E.T.C.

So do not trip on those spooky experiences.

I am not saying that anyone here is schizophrenic,

We can become very powerful.

So if you feel that you have an alternate spirit within you,
At least educate that new personality,
Because if you don't,
It will only manifest in terrifying ways.
