Words of Power by Damon Brand...bad things happening???

I posted this in the beginners section aswell, sorry if this isn't allowed, I wasn't sure which would be best.

I've just recently started using magick and have had good results, however , i've just bought 'words of power' by Damon Brand a few days ago and performed the 'end bad luck' ritual and the 'obtain any desire', the end bad luck was for money troubles but i'm not sure i focussed myself enough on what it was for when I performed it. The 'any desire' one was to fall pregnant with my partner and I really focussed myself on this one.
The problem is, bad things are starting to happen and i'm worried it is to do with one of these rituals as the things that are happening are things I have thought about! For example:
*I found myself think how much easier it would be if my partners ex wife just disappeared, she's a pain and causes trouble, i didn't mean anything malicious by it, it was just a thought, but now she is in hospital, not sure whats wrong though.
*I had another thought that i wished i didn't smoke and now i literally feel sick at the thought of a cigarette.
Just other daft things, trivial things but still, like my partner was massaging the back of my neck (normally i get 30 seconds) i was hoping he wouldnt stop and I got a whole half hour! Also i started freaking out and thought about my heart failing (i have a heart condition) and i immediatly had chest pains.

Is it possible one of these rituals is making any thought reality? I'm starting to get a bit worried if my thoughts can affect things as my brain is starting to go a bit crazy and putting horrible thoughts in my head of my partner/dog/mother dying. Is this possible? If so how do i stop it?

As Nahemah, I have never heard about the author, at least I don't remember. But, if it is about programing (that part of your consciousness that lets "heka", "MP", "mana", "Àse", etc connect with the desire) you should UNprogram it. You know what I mean?

If you could discribe exactly what you did would help us to help you. Most spells don't last forever, if not "fed" they just die. But, for what it sounds like, it's not a spell, it's more of a "programing your mind" thing. So, you would need to undo the program. Or it could just "psychological suggestion".

It is a 'ritual' i performed, it involves looking at a sigil with hebrew words on it then saying the words out loud which the author prints underneath in english pronounciations, the words are names of spirits/angels apparently. It says to think of the problem you want to solved before saying the words, with the end bad luck one i was a bit vague, i thought of ending my bad luck with money but also just bad luck in general. There is nothing in the book about undoing the spell so I don't know what to do. The author says the magick in the book is safe but i'm finding it hard to put everything thats happening down to coincidence. If I remember correctly, Damon Brand's angelic works draw on the adaptations and manifestations of the divine names of Shemhamphoresh, or the 72 Shem Angels. And even if I am remembering it incorrectly, the Shem Angels are the main spirits/angels called upon in the Hebrew tradition (they taught Abraham, Moses, Solomon, Jesus, etc). These are very powerful forces for change and transmutation of the self, and are thought to be aligned closest to Mercurial frequencies (according to Franz Bardon). If you've performed a ritual according to this tradition, you are inviting this force of change and transmutation into your life. Don't fight it. Come to 'know thyself'.

The lesson here should be, how do you come to control your anger? How can you better interact with your Self, your past, your present and your future so that you eliminate anger and hate? This in turn will help you better interact with people and situations from a 'higher' perspective.

But that's just a guess.

I do agree with Corvidus, very good advice.

Also would be good for people with little to none experience in magick to stop doing things they don't understand. Magick is a game for a lot of people, but it really isn't. Some of those who dabble into magick get hurt, like Jenny. The others, think they're doing magick, and just a few really do magick, and the latter are very lucky. Magick should be studied and at least a "little understood" before go and throw oneself into doing stuff. A person without self control hardly will control and master the elements, right?
