Magnetic sand, The bane of my existence.

Post by Desecrated »

I was flipping through 5000 spells and saw some interesting stuff that included "magnetic sand".
Now since we have a fairly large iron ore mine a couple of miles away I decided to order "a bag".
( A bag is the Swedish measurement for, "I'll send you 10 bucks, send me what you think it's worth")

And this was the start of my suffering. This stuff is fine fine grain, almost like dust, and HIGHLY magnetic. Not only does it reacts to a magnet, it also reacts to things like static electricity, other metallic objects and dogs. So getting it out of the plastic bag and into the glass test tube was challenging to say the least.

Getting this of your hands is a nightmare. It will stick into every crevasse, bump or imperfection and refuses to leave. Soap and water does nothing. It shreds paper towels, it laughs at you futile attempts to get it off and finally I sacrificed a table cloth to transfer the dust. If you get it under your nail, just cut of your hands and grow some new ones. It will save time.

Getting it of the table was no less of a pain. I suspect that some of those grains are permanently part of my furniture now.

Honestly, it's better to be poor, then to do money spells with this nightmare.

Motumbá Àse

LMAO!!!

I had have never ever that problem! Here they sell Magnet "dust" and Iron "dust" that's sold here in Botanicas and Occult shops it's thicker, so it does not fuck with you xDDD

Try to find or see if your supplier may send a little thicker dust for you, we call it "raspadura de hierro" (iron scraps) or "Polvo Imán" (Magnet Dust). But is not really "dusty", is more scrappy xDDD

Are you using a magnet and feeding it with the dust???

The stuff they sent me is done by huge machines in the mine so it's crushed under several tons. I was thinking about getting some magnetic ore and crunch it myself to make it a bit more manageable.

Yeah, I'm going to be feeding a loadstone. I saw the ritual and thought it was kinda cute and simple. Im even going to make a little bed for the stone.

A nightmarishly funny story, with a thoughtful ending. [cool]
