Question about a book I read & 4 spirits from the B.P.
Hi All,
I was reading a commercial book recently and these four words were identified as spirits:
Xatros, Nifer, Roxas, Rortas.
Questions:
1. Does anyone have any other information on these four words?
2. Are they actually spirit entities?
3. Are they power words? That is, do these words activate other spirits?
4. Do we have any historians that would know whether these are only from the Black Pullet? I am skeptical of the B.P. but I know of people that swear by it. So, I keep an open mind.
I love the history and origins of spirit beings. These are four illusive words.

BP entities. The BP is great. There is another book around that details working it with candles only and without making the rings. Sorry I can't give more info, but that's typical of grimmoires. Pretty much everything is a "spirit" in my opinion, in the end whether it's a talisman, word, glyph, name, we are accessing energetic currents which may or may not be approachable by personifying them to some extent

I will have to do a search and see if I can find that book! I am growing my collection of resources.
I am glad to hear that you find the BP as a good resource. I have read so many negative things about it. I confess I let it bias me. I am adding it to my list for further exploration.

Aahh sorry it's called the black spells of the fire spirits. I like the BP because at some point I realized that I like seeing spirits as entities and not just portions of the brain (not that I'm 100% one is right/wrong, I just get more out of the former). The BP is exemplary of a spirit-relationship approach that other systems like ATR/vodou and forms of shamanism are so natural with. These naturally get a bad wrap from very technical, modern magicians, and the BP is no exception. This is why it gets a bad wrap, and why I don't personally agree in all cases. The psychological model of magic is necessary, important, useful, etc, but they are two different things are actually more complementary than divisive, if you just make a small point of allowing the brain to be connected to everything else somehow

Fraterai -
I just read your introduction. I am so intrigued by the middle age grimoires and am glad that I have met your acquaintance. I am looking forward to asking you some questions in the next few months. I agree with your assessment that the spirits are both internal and external to the human psyche. I have had so many experiences where I have seen physical manifestations of non-human spirits that it leads to me to believe that they are obviously a force that is beyond the mind. One of the reasons why I don't practice physical evocation is because of the earlier life experiences I had where the spirits just showed up, most of the time they were looking for me. I learned to tune them out and protect myself. I have become very comfortable meeting them in the astral and through evocations with scrying and what not. I would love to hear more about your evocation work.

I would love to hear some of those experiences of yours, SolomonsChild. If it doesn't evoke things you wish not to recall, of course.SolomonsChild wrote:Fraterai -

By the way, welcome to the forums.

Oh - I have no problem recalling any of it. I am just incredibly cautious when I do spirit work because I have been one of these people that tends to experience things very physically when I come into contact with spirits. I like to know who I am inviting to lunch, so to speak.
