Hi guys hope you're all doing great in your magical world ;-) My name is Firice here, a mixture of Fire and Ice. I have both the qualities in my character I believe. Would you be helpful and light a candle so I can see the path forward here? I'm a complete newbie in magic. Here's a little bit about me: I'm 30 years old and my profession and current stage in career requires me to interact with people a lot. However, I'm in a sensitive position in that I still need to get established and earn money in my desired off-beat and unique career (not magician). I've always been an avid reader and have tried meditation at the age of 12, and at 27 found other techniques to improve my communication skills. Here's where magic comes in. I'm looking for ways to:
1. Maximise, and add new dimensions in my current level of skills that are needed for me to shine in my career. But the traditional method of training courses etc. seem to be external to me. In other words, I'm only given tools with which I can make myself saleable in the job market. I want to increase my own potential, get rid of bad habits, and refine myself so I can become a jumbo jet from a training plane. Once I become a jumbo jet, obviously I'll be able to achieve far-away destinations...speaking in metaphors here. Plus, I want to make real ice and real fire with my mind and words, become a legend.
2. Learn to persuade and work with people so it adds maximum value in my career, and life.
3. Get enlightenment, find myself, achieve true freedom and get closer to God.
4. Develop ESP skills, for instance, mind-reading would be a very helpful skill in my profession or career as a performer. I've always been interested in parapsychology, telekinesis, telepathy, thought transference, pranayama but I think now it's my time to get practical and combine my passion with my life path. I need to implement the skills I've developed for myself, family, and for society.
I was thinking of doing the Abramelin Operation but after I understood how gigantic it was I thought Liber 8 of Peter Carroll would be a good beginning. Looking forward to hear your directions.
Last question is, how much of my work as a magician would require dealing with demons? What I understand is that they're certainly not happy with us humans so to make them work for us would require a person of excellent physical health, and mental resilience and character. Otherwise they will break you. Thanks for reading.

Hi FireIce,
I am also new to these forums and really have enjoyed my time here. Lots of well meaning people that will sincerely answer your questions and give ideas and advice. You will find a lot of information on the topics you are researching.
As far as demons go, many are fairly benign. As a Jewish occultist, I am actually more in respect (notice I did not say fear) of some of the angelic spiritual beings. There is a lot of misinformation on demons. If you take the fallen angel approach towards thinking of them, just remember, some of them wanted free will just as you might want free will. Frankly, some are immensely helpful to humans. Especially those associated with wealth and prosperity. Which, it sounds like you would do well to get in touch with. (But, I strongly encourage people to always test the spirits to make sure you are dealing with what you think you are dealing with. There are some tricksters out there.)
I might get scolded and/or flamed here. But, I have all of Damon Brand's books on magickal approaches towards wealth and money (gallery of magick). Its not deep writing and its written for the masses. But, certain parts of the work really resonated with me, because of the deitiies that are utilized. You might just check those books out and see if anything looks worth pursuing. I have used a couple of this sigils and, let me tell you, I had some profound experiences. Note, I adapt most of the magick I work with to my own style. But, oh boy, that Sigil has now found a regular place in my work. And, every time I cast it out to the universe, I hear back from it.
Welcome! I hope you will find the friends you need!

Welcome! This forum is a great place for resources and to bounce ideas around. If I could go back in time and start over my occult journey I would insist, on pain of death, that I meditate at least twice a day (no matter what). Years and years down the line and i'm constantly being reminded that everything else is just sugar on top, and 99% of all of my gains are due to my meditations. Secondly, I didn't take up divination much early on, something of very great value. Pick any any any system and stay consistent, and you will get results. Within weeks or maybe months you will be able to answer anything for yourself.
As far as working with "demons", this is a loose term, and I bet every single one of us will have some specifics about the definition of what this is. You can work with them as much or as little as you or your operation necessitates. In my experience any sort of doubt before entering an operation can lead to some level failure, so before working with them you should meditate to make sure you have a clear personal picture of what you are about to undertake, and when there are still gaps you can divine the rest
On money magic - a good example for Beginners: You will have luck with simple money spells that attract certain amounts through open channels, meaning, you get tips at work, you walk around alot and find money on the ground, someone you forgot about pays you back. Long term success with money magic is better spent on making you better at your craft, attracting customers (you already have a product/service and thus a channel to manifest), or learning new skills or gaining confidence and luck to land your job interview. Anything like winning the lottery or horse races will be extremely difficult to do without a level of maturity; what I mean by this is someone with clear astral abilities that can actually measure the effectiveness of their operation through direct communication with the entities (aka demons, or otherwise) involved, or they have some level of clairvoyant faculty to see if their operation succeeds. You can also get some of these successes through normal divination we talked about earlier, but it is safe to assume the goal will require a high degree of power that someone without aforementioned abilities probably cant muster to begin with.
In short, keep learning, and keep practicing, and realize early on that this takes a lot of time and effort, but you can maximize your gains by being practical, aka increasing your health, your memory, stamina, ability to concentrate, etc, (through both normal and occult means).
Hope this was of help to you and feel free to ask questions and start new threads!
