Practical book on sexual energy work?
Practical book on sexual energy work?
Hey,
I've been experimenting a bit with sexual energy. As a child I read that the orgasm is a tiny death and that the egiptians used to feed it back to their bodies. As an adult I've known that sexual energy is strong to manifest. My results in using it are not as I wish. The best way I get results (sexual energy or not) is by sending tiny pulses, when it works it's instant.
However I feel that these, in comparison, lack in intensity and therefor its power is limited.
What I have tried is feeling it going from the root to the heart and in, or to the crown and out, but I would like a more documented aproach.
Any book recomendations, the more practical the better? Experiences as always are also welcome.
My regards

Re: Practical book on sexual energy work?
I just recently suggested Mantak Chia to some other users, and I will do so here as well. He is clear, concise, and you can start practicing right away. He does not preach to occultists but to humans trying to improve their lives, and in this sense, any failures you have had with sexual sorcery can be easily located by working through the foundations that are missing from more esoteric, sexual magical instructional works, and that are front and center with Mantak. From MC you will re-learn your sensuality, know your physical self completely, know how to separate and control ejaculation and orgasm, and most importantly how to move this energy throughout your body in order to have it work for you automatically.
With these things in mind I think you can go on to tackle most any sexual magical treatise with ease. As far as circulating the energy, Mantak calls this the "microcosmic orbit". He probably offers the much more documentation you are asking for, but honestly, that is it. It is the most simple part of the practice, and thats the beauty of it. Its simple, you just have to practice.

I have a tendency to strongly advise against Mantak Chia for lots of reasons. In regard to his sexual practices in particular, the clenching and stopping techniques that he teaches are dangerous and can cause health problems if practiced.
Modern Sex Magic by Kraig is decent. Jason Miller has a book on sex magic that I haven't read yet, but I like Miller's other work so I expect it to be decent. Magia Sexualis by Randolph is a classic on the subject, but it's a book written for advanced practitioners and you have to know how to read between the lines to understand the Mysteries he is discussing. Stephen Flowers has a book called Carnal Alchemy, which is...interesting. [rofl]
There is ultimately little difference between "sexual energy work" and any other kind of energy work. Energy is energy. Just do regular training to develop your energy work skills, develop your sexual techniques, and then practice your energy skills while having sex. There's certain value in some old school rituals and practices, but for the most part, there's no need to over complicate it. Practice, experiment and have fun. [wink]

Thank you for your input Shinichi. Could you further elaborate or give some source about those health problems?
I take note about the books you have mentioned.

Re: Practical book on sexual energy work?
I would personally say this is the number one area people disagree, as far as withholding or letting it go. I think it's best to have complete control of the process and retain when needed or let go when feelin wild. Mantak has pretty much said this as well, "you have 2,3,4 O without E and go ahead and E". The foundations however are the same. There are zero concerns and only benefits when you properly transmute regardless of which path. The real problem he repeats over and over is your attitude and getting down on yourself when you "fail". That's why he doesn't call it a failure. He also describes everything that happens biologically during retention, even when you do it "wrong", there are no concerns, you simply urinate it out. Not to mention he did it for decades with benefits. It's all pretty simple

Re: Practical book on sexual energy work?
Any thoughts on Secrets of the German Sex Magicians by Frater U.'.D.'.? I have that one, it seems to have some neat techniques. When OYM wraps up I do have a sexual working that I'd like to explore further (likely late spring or early summer next year) and I may do a little bit until then, albeit sparingly, just as a primer.
You don't have to do a thing perfect, just relentlessly.
Re: Practical book on sexual energy work?
I can't remember all of the warnings I received off the top of my head, since I was given that lecture almost a decade ago, but one of the most important conditions is called Retrograde Ejaculation. When you use the training methods such as clenching the base of the penis, putting pressure on the perineum, and other practices of this sort that Mantak Chia and others encourage you are not fully separating ejaculation from orgasm. You are simply forcing the orgasm to stop, which will often lead to a retrograde ejaculation rather than having an orgasm without ejaculation. Every so often, this isn't such a bad thing. The body will adjust and you'll just clean it out next time you urinate. However, doing this as a regular thing is unhealthy and unnatural.LoneWolf wrote:Thank you for your input Shinichi. My regards,
Instead of using those methods, I was instructed in something far more simple and far more natural: just relax. Relax, relax, relax. Practice solo while exercising relaxation - do not focus on trying to climax at all, just train yourself to enjoy the pleasure for its own sake. As you relax deeper, you will experience more pleasure, and with persistent training you will experience the distinct separation of orgasm and ejaculation - having relaxed such that the muscles that trigger ejaculation do not spasm, the pleasure will just occur without the ejaculation. If you continue training this way, you will eventually experience full body, multiple orgasms without ejaculation. After almost a decade of practicing this, the only times I ejaculate are when I actively try to. And it usually takes a while.
Just practice and relax. Don't try to force the separation, just master train body and it will come naturally.

Just practice and relax.
There is a purpose to all this. The whole point of abstaining from sex, ejaculations and etc is to open kundalini. Which necessarily requires relaxation.

That's a matter of tradition. My training and work in this field had and has nothing to do with kundalini.corvidus wrote:Shinichi wrote: Instead of using those methods, I was instructed in something far more simple and far more natural: just relax. Aleister Crowley: The Book of Lies (chapter 69).
From my gatherings: semen is a seed, that impregnates the egg and gives life. Just like your will impregnates the subconscious and gives manifestation.
This is the basics of sex-magick I believe (could be wrong), but this is the conclusion I am at right now.

From my experience, semen is not seed. Semen is more like the alchemical 'Mercury'.Aeiouoiea wrote:Aleister Crowley: The Book of Lies (chapter 69).

The "Seed" is generated after the union of male sperm and female egg. Look into Nature, is basic science.

Re: Practical book on sexual energy work?
There are many different end games, yes. Even in Yoga, there are styles and approaches where Kundalini is not important. My own sexual training came from Daoist Tradition, where preservation of Jing and Qi is more important, but even that I don't worry about that as much as some. Good cultivation combined with being good in bed and having sex primarily with loving partners instead of random people can fully negate the major problems that some people face in that department. Even in so far as Kundalini goes, the true meaning of "Brahmacharya" is not "Celibacy," but rather "Moderation," which can be exercised in many ways.corvidus wrote:

And completely independent of all the spiritual considerations, the sexual arts valuable simply because humans are sexual beings by nature. Especially in the "pagan" traditions that I work with most these days. And if I'm going to do something, I might as well do it well. [greensmile]

Re: Practical book on sexual energy work?
I would just really like to add that my last post was a blatant warning about the arguments revolving around sex magic, and that they all go back to cryptic vocabulary and what to do with your orgasm and ejaculation. Mine was purposely very neutral and foundational, and applies to all of these systems, because it forces you to start with control of orgasm and ejaculation (this is not one thing but two things) through just your senses and mental control, not "chi" or "powers" or "energy". In this way, there will be no question, personally, as to what you are doing, because it will be natural and then you can simply work on applications. The reason this was kept so "secret" was because its so simple. It definitely tends to be over thought, over complicated, etc. The real problems today are the mass sensationalism, bad diet, bad health/sleep, all of these will be much more difficult for the modern man to overcome and master, and doing so gets you much farther than any fancy words

A male plant produces pollen, which is carried to the female plant. Before this, no seeds exist. After "pollenation", the seed develops.
So, technically, just one half the equation does not produce a seed. It is either sperm or egg.
The alchemical Mercury is also one half the equation.

Also curious. I can't remember where or from what lineage, but I've read the only aim of the Yogi is to open Kundalini. After that, Nothing mattersShinichi wrote:There are many different end games, yes. Even in Yoga, there are styles and approaches where Kundalini is not important.corvidus wrote:

Mine as well, but instead of preserving Jing, its sublimation is the focus. This restores pre-natal vitality, which is much different than sexual vitality and control of qi. But this requires Kundalini, as pre-natal kundalini resides in the head (and is pushed down at birth). My own sexual training came from Daoist Tradition, where preservation of Jing and Qi is more important, but even that I don't worry about that as much as some.
Not to mention the martial counterpart. And completely independent of all the spiritual considerations, the sexual arts valuable simply because humans are sexual beings by nature. Re: Practical book on sexual energy work?
The goal of the Yogi is to achieve Samadhi. There are many ways to accomplish this, but there are many schools who argue that the "best" way to do this is some form of Kundalini Yoga or another. It is a rather efficient way when done correctly and safely, but it certainly isn't the only way.corvidus wrote:Also curious. I can't remember where or from what lineage, but I've read the only aim of the Yogi is to open Kundalini. After that, Nothing matters
Kundalini is not quite the same thing as Jing, and that's the first time I've ever heard anyone say that kundalini resides in the head. Shakti (in the root) and Shiva (in the head) are two different things. The union of the two is the aim of Kundalini Yoga and a trigger of Samadhi.corvidus wrote:Mine as well, but instead of preserving Jing, its sublimation is the focus. Aye, I also cultivate Jin. But Martial Jin and Esoteric Jing are two completely different forces, and one can be cultivated without greatly influencing the other.corvidus wrote:Not to mention the martial counterpart.

Re: Practical book on sexual energy work?
Correct, Kundalini and Jing are similarily different. Jing is microcosmic, Kundalini is macrocosmic.Shinichi wrote: Kundalini is not quite the same thing as Jing, and that's the first time I've ever heard anyone say that kundalini resides in the head. I'm saying that kundalini resides in the head before birth. In the womb, the fetus exists in Samadhi. Shiva and Shakti in union. They are separated when the mother pushes the baby out head first. This pressure draws kundalini down to Muladhara.
