Which Eye of Horus offers better magical protection?
Does the left or right Eye of Horus offer better magical protection? I know the left eye represents the moon and the right represents the sun, but I was wondering which one is "better." Thanks.
Re: Which Eye of Horus offers better magical protection?
I retrieved most of this information from: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_of_Horus

The right eye of Horus mainly represents protection against evil as well as acting as a guide for travelling through darkness.

The left eye of Horus: "Sometimes" - Represented the moon and the god Djehuti (Thoth), And his right eye was associated with the sun god, Ra.

The reason why Set gouged out Horus's left eye,
Was because he was hoping that it would lead Horus towards failure, because he knew that without logic - Horus's feelings would be the only remainder that would cause his better judgement to become clouded by irrationality.
Without his left eye, Horus wouldn't be fit to rule.
Irrationality:

This information regarding Horus's eyes can be quite confusing to the uneducated mind.
For example: In terms of biology,
Our left eye is connected to the right side of our brain, and our right eye is connected to the left side of our brain.
Our body works the same way.
The entire left half of our body is governed by the right side of our brain, and the entire right side of our body is governed by the left side of our brain.
According to: https://theknowing1.wordpress.com/2012/ ... nd-femine/
The left side of our brain is associated with masculinity and logic, and the right side of our brain is associated with femininity and emotion:

Don't let the picture confuse you,
It's not as complicated as it may look.
It's not important to know,
But if you're curious - you can open the spoiler below and read about the details of the picture above:
Anyways,
The whole point of Horus's story is to enlighten us about how we should balance our feelings and thoughts, because without emotion - our logical mind has no instinct to guide it towards success and safety as well as health, and without logic - our emotional mind can take over us and misguide us.

To answer your question,
According to the story of Horus, his right eye is the one you want, but if you want to succeed in your endeavours - its his left eye that you want, and if you want to rule - you'll want both of his eyes.

In other words,The Eye of Horus is an ancient Egyptian symbol of protection, royal power and good health. The eye is personified in the goddess Wadjet (also written as Wedjat, or "Udjat", Uadjet, Wedjoyet, Edjo or Uto). The Eye of Horus is similar to the Eye of Ra, which belongs to a different god, Ra, but represents many of the same concepts.
The name Wadjet is derived from "wadj" meaning "green", hence "the green one", and was known to the Greeks and Romans as "uraeus" from the Egyptian "iaret" meaning "risen one" from the image of a cobra rising up in protection. Wadjet was one of the earliest of Egyptian deities who later became associated with other goddesses such as Bast, Sekhmet, Mut, and Hathor. She was the tutelary deity of Lower Egypt and the major Delta shrine the "per-nu" was under her protection. Hathor is also depicted with this eye.
Funerary amulets were often made in the shape of the Eye of Horus. The Wadjet or Eye of Horus is "the central element" of seven "gold, faience, carnelian and lapis lazuli" bracelets found on the mummy of Shoshenq II. The Wedjat "was intended to protect the pharaoh [here] in the afterlife" and to ward off evil. Ancient Egyptian and Middle-Eastern sailors would frequently paint the symbol on the bow of their vessel to ensure safe sea travel.
The right eye of Horus mainly represents protection against evil as well as acting as a guide for travelling through darkness.

Left Eye:Horus was the ancient Egyptian sky god who was usually depicted as a falcon, most likely a lanner or peregrine falcon. His right eye was associated with the sun god, Ra. The eye symbol represents the marking around the eye of the falcon, including the "teardrop" marking sometimes found below the eye. The mirror image, or left eye, sometimes represented the moon and the god Djehuti (Thoth).

The left eye of Horus: "Sometimes" - Represented the moon and the god Djehuti (Thoth), And his right eye was associated with the sun god, Ra.

Basically - The left eye that "sometimes" represents the moon - Deals with logic, While the right eye represents emotion which is the spectrum from which all feelings are born, Such as: "Wrath".In one myth, when Set and Horus were fighting for the throne after Osiris's death, Set gouged out Horus's left eye. The majority of the eye was restored by either Hathor or Thoth (with the last portion possibly being supplied magically). When Horus's eye was recovered, he offered it to his father, Osiris, in hopes of restoring his life. Hence, the left* eye of Horus was often used to symbolise sacrifice, healing, restoration, and protection.
The reason why Set gouged out Horus's left eye,
Was because he was hoping that it would lead Horus towards failure, because he knew that without logic - Horus's feelings would be the only remainder that would cause his better judgement to become clouded by irrationality.

The left side of our brain is associated with masculinity and logic, and the right side of our brain is associated with femininity and emotion:
The word: "Ida" - Means "Energy".The Ida nadi governs the feminine, left side of the body, which in turn activates the right hemisphere (visual, intuitive and creative) of the brain. The Pingala nadi governs the masculine, right side of the body and activates the left (logical) side of the brain.
Here's why I believe so,
And as for the word: "Nadi" - Here's what it means,In Germany, Ida is a female name derived from a Germanic word id, meaning "labor, work." Alternately, it may be related to the name of the Old Norse goddess Iðunn. Ida also occurs as an anglicisation of the Irish girl's given name Íde.

If you still dont quite understand how the right side of our brain governs the activity of our entire left half side of our body, e.t.c. - Then watch this YouTube video:The word nadi comes from the Sanskrit root nad meaning "channel", "stream", or "flow". Special breathing techniques are supposed to influence the flow of prana within these nadis.

Sorry for adding an extra reply...
I just had to fix the last spoiler in my previous reply...
I don't like leaving behind errors...
You don't have to read this, because it is just a correction for the spoiler regarding the picture illustrating: "God",
In the picture illustrating God,
Where you see the first chakra,
I didn't mean to write: "Hate" - Because that's a feeling and not an emotion, I meant to write: "Fear" - Instead. ~
It was difficult gathering all of this info because my aunt was talking to me while I was busy putting all of this together.
