Does wearing a cross protect me from negative energies?
My friend gave me a wooden cross (the Christian kind); will wearing it protect me from negative energies? Thanks.

I have no experience with battling negative energies using a cross.
I usually banish those negative energies with threats.
Or I use comedy to banish bad energies.
I rarely use love to banish anything bad.
For example,
I combat illnesses by having lucid dream nightmares and killing the dream characters who are causing mischief,
Because those dream characters causing mischief are the vessels for the germs/illness within me.
So when I neutralize them,
I wake up feeling better.
Please do not use darkness to combat darkness...
I'm just good at it,
It's what works for me.
Maybe you need to strengthen your soul?

Our consciousness is the darkness that envelopes all of the universe; We will live forever because we are the essence that is the absence of light.

Sure, but you'd probably need to cleanse and charge it first and/or call on a deity or saint to empower it toward that purpose. Or at least maintain a very strong and unwavering belief in its power which itself is a form of enchantment.
And also it's not necessarily true that spirits don't recognize ritual objects from outside their religious paradigm. They may not know what the object is, but if you've empowered it properly they will understand its purpose. And this is just speculation but I'd imagine many djinn would likely recognize Christian symbols since Christ was a prophet of Islam (although his death on a cross is not part of Muslim belief so they might just be confused lol).

I had edited my reply.
Because I found yours to be the best reply so far.
And I agree with you 100%
I didn't know christ was a prophet of islam.
I guess I didn't know what I was saying because someone told me that spirits from different religions were unaffected from each others paradigms.
Thank you for enlightening us. ~

Here is the prayer for the cross:
"May this cross and the one who uses it be blessed, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."
That means that both the cross and the wearer is protected by god, So it doesn't mater if it is against vikings, Japanese monsters or goblins. It still works by the mercy of god.
Here is the longer section from the roman rituals. It's point 14

A wooden cross itself will not protect you from anything.Blazekilla900 wrote:My friend gave me a wooden cross (the Christian kind); will wearing it protect me from negative energies? Thanks.
If it was correctly charged at church, then it will carry the energies of the Christian egregore and give the egregore's protection to the person carrying it. But only if that person is Christian and obides to all the prescriptions of Christianity.

Re: Does wearing a cross protect me from negative energies?
All the magick is done by the person. A Christian calling down the strength of Jesus more often than not is calling his own powers. Same with this wooden cross. It does carry strong energetic connections due to its symbolism, but by itself it is meaningless. It is only a tool through which you will channel your own energies. Words and things you say does not really matter as long as you believe in them yourself. On the other hand, if you desire something which would work by itself then this cross at very least should be blessed and you should feed it by your faith in its given protection.
Re: Does wearing a cross protect me from negative energies?
Hm...it can protect, but it can also frustrate and provoke. Blessing something with the power of God does appear to imbibe and extend power beyond one's own self-created, self-reflecting mental creations. ...Though this may not be apparent for many.Blazekilla900 wrote:My friend gave me a wooden cross (the Christian kind); will wearing it protect me from negative energies? In any event, wood should be easier going than metal.
Good luck.
