Please give me some insight.

When I was a kid, I can't remember when but I was under 10 years old at least, I was in my home country, Vietnam to visit some family. There was a dark hallway that separated the living room and bathroom in my parents room. Houses were built differently there so the only light that was shed was coming from downstairs - it was enough to reflect against the wall.

As I was walking I was watching my shadow move, how my hair moved the way my arms slightly swung back and fourth, then it suddenly got cold and I felt the sudden urge to stop about 3/4 down the hallway. A light as if the lights of a car passed by, I dont know how to explain it.

But I saw the shadow that I originally watched started from the beginning of the hallway and walked into my own shadow - everything was replicated from how my hair moved to the way my body moved.


I have always been observant - this wasn't my imagination or in my head. I've heard of things called shadow people and such but that doesn't sound right to me.


Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you for reading. I just didn't know how to find answers for this.

Yeah, that happens when two light sources meets. you get two shadows. Probably a passing car.

I just looked up what you meant, That could be possible. The shadow just seemed really dark, and not sure how to describe it but thick. If what you said is indeed the case then that's a interesting phenomenon, the fact that I stopped in the middle of the hallway for no reason was weird too now that I think of it, because I stopped before the car light passed. So the occurrence seemed retarded somehow, as if it was a time lapse



But I don't want to discount what you said either.
As it happened a long time ago, plus it gives me comfort that it could be a possibility.

I lean more towards the capabilities of the mind and perception because unfortunately memory can become more inaccurate as time passes..

I guess you and I are in similar boats then because I 100% agree.

The mind can do a lot of tricks.

But then again some of our supernatural experiences beg to differ.

It's best to keep a journal or diary about all the supernatural things that happen.

That way we can have a more lucid memory on what happened.

I too saw a shadow of a person a while back.

It was a shadow of a woman peeking out of the window in my mothers bedroom.

I saw that shadow peeking out of the window when it was night as I was approaching my home from a walk.

I know it couldn't have just been a reflection because this thing I was seeing in my peripheral vision was blacker than the room itself and I could see the 3d shape of the woman.

When it noticed me becoming aware of it - it moved in a supernatural speed away from the window and the blinds were moving as if something was just there holding the blinds aside.

When I got into the house I checked everywhere.

I even went into the creepy parts of my house... (Yikes)
Found nothing.

That room I saw the shadow lady in - was where my mother died.

So that's why I theorize that human spirits look like shadows.

I even stood up for days one time just to see what the astral realm would look like and I saw many shapes and sizes of different shadows.

Not only that - I could hear a lot of mumbling and chatter as if there was tons of people talking all at once.

And then recently I have been seeing shadow beings right next to me as I wake up...

My experiences won't let me believe anything else besides that spirits can appear in the form of light or shadows.

Sometimes they appear in the shape of orbs or balloons/tear drops.

Vietnamese ghosts are almost always people who have died to soon.
So did anybody die in that house?
Did anybody die in that house that would fell a need to contact you?
Could anybody have benefited by you knowing that they were there?
Could you have influenced or helped their situation in any way?
Have you killed or harmed anybody living in that house?

If it was a residential haunting it would be tied to the building or even the exact same spot, meaning that this phenom would appear on the same spot more then once.
Have you talked to anybody living their before or after?
Can anybody collaborate on your story?

Do you have any history of mental illness?
Anybody in your family with a history of mental illnes?

Do you have any medical problem?

Any drug or alcohol abuse?

Were you tired?
Or stressed?
Or under some unusual circumstance at the time?

Why would a ghost show itself to you?

Did you stop because you heard a sound?
Smelled something?
Had a certain thought?

Could the cold draft have been normal?
Could it have been the wind?
Could it have been an airplane, helicopter or something else that cast a strong light and wind at the same time.

If I've been able to elucidate anything from Robert Bruce's books on astral projection, it's that most "shadow people" encounters seem to be one's own astral form going for a quick wander.

His theory is that an astral projection happens far more frequently than we'd imagine and that there is an actual struggle for which set of memories, (the projected copy of a person's consciousness or the immediate consciousness which exists in the body) remain after a merger.
He also cites a feedback effect when a copy is in close proximity with the original host, which can lead to some temporary distress.

In your case, it might be something similar; an astral copy returning "home".
