What is the metaphysical, occult meaning of blood?

I have read "The Occult significance of blood" but maybe there are other interesting ideas? Mostly interested about it being ingested. Because I have to say I feel very good after eating it, even more so than from liver. But liver itself is really full of blood.
Extra question out of interest - what have you experienced from eating blood?

I think it's going to be really hard to find anybody in the western world that don't think of blood as "life" or life-force. If you bleed too much you die: so blood is simply life.

In a deeper occult meaning, blood is a covenant. It is an unbreakable bond. Blood magic can never be repealed or stopped. Even if the caster wants to stop it won't.
We also see our blood as OURS, signing a deal in our blood makes it so the deal can never be broken.

As far as eating it. It's eaten traditionally in most European country, Black soup and blood pudding is pretty standard dishes over here. I recommend lingonberry and some butter to blood pancakes. But strawberry works to.

I don't like the classic blood sausages. Not to mention the ones at the store, it's just blood powder mixed with mechanically separated meat.
I have never made them but from what I've read I don't like the pancake recipes, but to each his own. Only things I like to add to blood is condensed milk and sugar, a fudge basically. Or if in a sausage then a bit of ground beef. Other than that just by itself. The same with liver, not a fan of liver with onions.

No, I think that's just you. It sounds like you're getting off on the fact that it is a little bit taboo. But as long as you make sure you get good quality and clean blood. Eat all you want. If it makes you feel good. Go for it.

I'm not the only one. I have heard it from a couple bodybuilders, they believed it was in some way physically beneficial. But they too said it feels good. In this case it's not a physical feeling, it's a mental feeling.
It took me around good six months to figure out what created the feeling. Because I couldn't have imagined that food could create a mental feeling that feels like it's all around. It started with liver actually when I came up with my own recipe and ate ~4-6 pounds per week, quite rare and it had a lot of blood.
It's not physical, it's not an emotion, not a thought, not a dream, it's not feelings like love and hate, it's a totally different mental (I suppose) feeling. Although it creates an emotion - surprise, about what is this feeling.
I'm not a native English speaker, but I tried to make as much sense as I can.

Bodybuilders isn't exactly the best source of information. You should try talking to a doctor.

But yes, food does very much affect our mental state. I'm not at all surprised by that. Especially if you have had an unbalanced diet before.
And yes; Blood can be beneficial both physically and mentally, there is nothing wrong with eating it or including it in your diet. But you sound almost obsessed by this idea.

Just for an entertainment puropse:
Life force is related to artery blood - just think about Vamipers [yay] . The word artery comes from the Ancient Greek word "arteria" which in turn came from "aeirein" meaning "to lift up".
Blood from venous system is more related to a poison (venom).
Some ancient priests were obsessive about human blood, believed to increase magical abilities and other things. They were inhaling the "mist" from fresh warm blood and then drink it.
Today, our eating habits, pollution of food, water and air make blood in that sense useless.

Something useful:
I stick only to small quantities of good quality food, mostly vegetable, seafood and fish. Oils are great, especially olive oil, coconut oil, nigella sativa oil, grape seed oil, if ill: wild oregano oil (but only in capsules, pls don't even try to take one smallest undiluted drop, it's so painful experience, you will remember it for a life time). Cold pressed, of course...
If you find that essential oils are sort of food (should not be eaten, but absorbed through the skin), they are very useful for new mental phenomena! Must search for yourself. French lavender essential oil works miracles for me.
