What planet would I work with in order to become more adept at strategy and strategic warfare? Not the bloodlusty kind but more like sharp-mindedness. Would something like this fall under Mercury or Mars?

All of them. Depending when and what you are going to do. They are a system, not individuals. They all represent certain days and certain hours and sometimes when you want something more complex like intelligent warfare you need to find a good hour hen those two qualities overlaps or are as close as possible.

I find the moon's transit of the zodiac useful, perhaps you could look at fine-tuning that around aries, perhaps in the spring soltace, alongside someone like Saturn - very logical, order driven, and ruler of all 7 planets?

Just a vague suggestion though, as without more information it's hard to tell what you need.

What type of intelligent strategy and warfare are you looking at? Are you looking to connect to a celestial body to aid a learning environment? or looking for protection in battle, perhaps in trying to out-fox your opponents?
