Is there writing on the Black Pullet talisman #4?
Just below the three flames their are two sigils with a series of short marks.
I am wondering if these are words written or just marks.

Would there be a way to get a better copy of the image?

Not that I know of. I have two published copies of the book and it's not readable in any of them.Archeus wrote:Then the copy I got from the internet is not showing the words.Desecrated wrote:

Arthur Edward Waite recommends consulting Agrippas fourth book to decipher the black pullet. And I would also like to add appendix 5 of the 3 books.

I have the 4th book, which as you probably know is considered spurious.
Regarding the appendix to the real works by him, I find this after Part 5:
"The Censure, or Retraction of Henry Cornelius Agrippa, concerning Magick, after his declamation of the vanity of Sciences, and the excellency of the word of God."
The fifth section of that appendix is titled "Of Goetia Necromancy."

Is this the passage you mean?

Sorry about that. I was referring to the big black brick that llewellyn published. Sometimes know as the Donald Tyson version.
Appendix number 5 in that book is about magic squares and showcase how some of the magical symbols are built.
Joseph Peterson's version that is uploaded on the site that you linked to is an excellent translation, but obviously the appendixes are a bit different. I should have clarified that.
