Jordan Peterson - Maps of Meaning lectures 2016

I remembered hearing about this guy with respect to University of Toronto and standing up to the C-16 legislation as a freedom of speech issue. Lo and behold he's a psychology professor, as far as I can tell a damn good one, and he touches base on Jung and Freud a lot here as well as (in hearing his interview with Gad Saad this morning on Youtube) bring up A.N. Whitehead - a lot of what he says sounds like it aims to stay right along the edge of known research as well as allowing considerations for panpsychism, idealism, etc..

I thought this particular lecture series would be great because I know a lot of people look at building a powerfully accurate worldview as a part-in-parcel with attainment along the magical path and it was funny to hear several of the students in the audience talk about former attendees of the class who were friends of theirs having mystical experiences (and I think this goes to show as well that the subconscious really likes integrity and unification - so much of what one gets out of the tarot and Kabbalah are based on such unification and personal software upgrades). Some of the things he said in some of his interviews as well, particularly about order and chaos really stood out to me as esoterically informed; I don't know if that's true in the literal but it seems like he's come to some of the same conclusions that I've been getting though my BOTA monographs.

Regardless it's heavy-hitting stuff, first video is an analysis of malevolence in human nature, some of the subsequent videos get more into epistemology, Heidegger, and habituation. Enjoy!
