Sigil on my Journal?
Hi all, I thought I'd run an idea past you to see what you think. Everyone here has a magical journal (or probably does let's just go with we all have one) and obviously we don't want anyone opening up our journal and finding out we meet daily with a succubus named Ralph. Would it be possible to create a sigil to place on the front/ back/ both of the journal to make it... not invisible but... the least interesting thing in the world? So, example... I have 2 leather journals on my desk. One is my magical journal, one is a journal that I doodle images of My Little Pony or whatever in. I ask my friend to "go grab the leather journal on my desk". For the sake of simplicity I have only created the sigil in the astral plane and attached it that was to the magical journal. So to the layman these two journals look exactly the same from the outside. How could I ensure or get as close as possible to 99% probability that my "Friend" would pick the My Little Pony journal over the magical journal? This would make me much less apprehensive of bringing my journal out with me any time I meditate or do any magical meditations outside my house. Ideas, Comments, Feedback always appreciated
Re: Sigil on my Journal?
Keep the magic journal tucked away in a drawer, get rid of any friends that go digging through your private affects so it'll be safe there, and don't write things that are embarrassing or take up a form of writing in code as most alchemists and magicians have for their journals for centuries. Because even if you make your book perfectly hidden, eventually you're going to die and someone is going to go through all of your stuff.
You can still put an invisibility spell on it, given that you have the skill to cast an invisibility spell. But you should either put the seal inside the cover, or only carve it into cover of the book astrally. Putting strange symbols on the cover of the book will only draw more attention to it, which is rather counter productive to an invisibility spell.

Re: Sigil on my Journal?
Okay that makes sense. Maybe I've played too mush skyrim but and invisibility spell is pretty high up on the skyrim magic mastery scale, whereas clairvoyance is very low. I'm thinking about the opposite of clairvoyance (shroud or something) that would make something less obvious. My reasoning for this is that I plan on traveling soon with very little carry along (close to backpacking) and I will be in different countries that may not be as open to the use of magic and that little book would be very damning.
I do like the code idea though. The thing is my memory is shit so I'd have to have the key in the book too haha.

I made a cupcake today who's sole purpose was to bring me more high quality partners in bed. I gave the cupcake a 1 week expiration date that if it didn't give me results, it would die but, if it did give results, could be in existence for another week. HAHAHA

Real life magick is not skyrim. Real invisibility pretty much is shroud, a lot more than actually turning invisible.
Jason Bourne can change clothes, walk into a crowd and drop off the face of the Earth. How? By not standing out. By blending in, and not being noticed.

Awesome. Maybe I should name my journal Jason Bourne and that might help... I'll make sure not to paint one side of my journal with neon yellow paint and the other with neon red with a pentagram on it xD and I will be looking up that invisibility spell... Seems like a good thing to get good at. Thanks for the advice!
