Re: How Harry Potter Turns You Into A Wizard
That's great. This could be useful in self-programming. It reminds me of this terrible job I had waiting tables years ago. It was so bad I would pretend that I was Link from the Legend of Zelda and that would help me stay sane. Rather than a lowly waiter getting blisters on my feet and serving miserable idiots, I was the hero of time, saving the princess.
Awake from sleep! Remember you're the son of a Great King, see to whom you're enslaved!

Love the zelda part. I absolutely have to steal that.chowderpope wrote:That's great. This could be useful in self-programming. It reminds me of this terrible job I had waiting tables years ago. I found it interesting that Peter Carroll was talking about this kind of techniques in the 80's. There is a whole chapter in 'liber null and the psychonaut' about pretending to be something your not to achieve certain results you yourself wouldn't have been able to achieve otherwise.
They don't mention this in this video but I've seen some other tests and the interesting thing is that these "rituals" are always reservable. You can change your bias for a couple of weeks, but if you don't keep reaffirming them you'll go back to your natural state. Giving us the possibility to change ourself temporarily over and over again-

I found results, but it's not as exciting as I thought it might be [stare]
